In Topic: What's Missing in NWN2?

I could go on and on about how I didn't like almost any of the NPCs (Neeshka being one of the few I liked, but they didn't really do anything with her) or how I wish the Githzerai would just shutup once in a while...

But I guess I can easily just go with: It doesn't have that great PCRPG feel to it. When I play Neverwinter Nights 2, it doesn't feel like an epic adventure or quest.

It's just another roleplaying game... Not surprising though, same thing happened with KotOR. First one felt like a great StarWars epic, the second just had an upgraded version of the first one's engine but aside from that the story paled in comparison and the NPCs were awful (my opinion)

Lastly, I always get bothered when everyone says "Oh, look! A demon. Let's all pick on that fiend-blooded fellow" But then if you're a drow it's all good, your entire race is well-known for being horribly evil and cruel, but who cares? At least you're not demonic...

In Topic: Reccomended Mod(s) thread

I might (and probably will) restate a mod or two... or all... that have already been said... no way I'm reading through all the posts :P

But...

The Aielund Saga was fantastic IMO, worth checking out for sure.

Um.... The Rose of Eternity series is VERY unique and has alot of custom scripts.

Darkness Over Daggerford (I actually DID see that one mentioned here but oh well) uses alot of well done custom content and had a feel to it that reminded me of Baldur's Gate at parts...

I had alot of fun playing through the "A Hunt Through the Dark" series, they start off short and gradually become longer modules... the last one being long enough that it took me (I think) a full weekend of non-stop (just about) playing to beat.

While I still have not beaten (or started for that matter) the second module... I can safely say that the "Tale of a Mage" mods are fantastic, they truly bring out the greatness of the mage.

And lastly, I have yet to play, although I have indeed heard great things, about this trilogy here: Here

That's it... I think. I may or may not have left out some great ones (I guarantee I did) but alas... meh

I absolutely adore your Haer'Dalis, not only does he look great, but it further reminds me as to why he's in my Top 5 NPC's

So long as it doesn't get put "on hold" for as long as the Tiefling Sisters mod has been, then I'm fine with any delays and hope that others can wait patiently for however longer it will be.

In Topic: What is the saddest thing you have done while playing BG?

Pfft, Baldur's Gate, JUST a game? HAH! It's a way of life! I remember having Valygar being Cone of Cold Perma Killed in the Tree of Life Irenicus battle on my very first play through, it was sooooo sad :( , woulda been moreso were it a character I like more though.

Saddest thing would be almost crying reading the Viconia (romanced) ending thingy in ToB...
