If you have Nej installed, you can't get to the second level of the dungeon until you complete Nej part 1.  

Explore the first level, then go through the portal behind Jaheiras cell rather than the usual portal.

After completing Nej part 1 you'll end up on the second level.

edit: When nej2v4.2b was first released the tp2 was buggy and it could not be installed. This was fixed a day or two after the initial release. It is possible you have the buggy version. Try downloading from blackwyrm.

My install is SoA+ToB+patch26498+RTT kitpack

Messiah characters have a bad stutter. For example, if you tell the PC to walk across the room he only takes two steps. If you have the messiah open a chest, the chest opens then immediately closes a half second later. The bug is messiah specific, the rest of the party(Imoen,jaheira,minsc) are unaffected.

I tried some other classes (elf paladin, amazon, ninja) to see if they worked, and other classes all worked normally.
