what is your favorite loot system? do you wanna have a complete random system? or preset everything? or have randomness except major/boss/hard battles? or something entirely different?
i would like the d2 system with the tweak that bosses have static treasure or always drop unique like god items.

magic system

there is an interesting discussion on bw forums about the magic system. what is your favorite system? mana based with/without regenerative mana? something like d&d? same old fireball/iceblast spells? something complete different? runebased (for example you use a fire element rune + projectile rune and have a fire bolt but you can also use cold instead of fire). or you have spells that grow with you. so no firebolt->firearrow->fireball->meteorshower.
alignment

i think in every crpg is some form of alignment(good/bad) or faction(mage/warrior/thief). do you think this is good? would you like to abandon such thoughts? are they realistic? do you have a better concept? what do you think bioware should implement?
i mean lets assume some thief organisation is evil from the point of view of the authorithies. but do you think my fellow thief friend views me as evil? i dont think so. as an example.

planescape rats??

i read a few days ago (if i read correctly and remember it correctly) that in ps: torment there are some "rats" who have a nice feature. the more rats there are the better they get, better spells and so. is that correct? never played it.
if yes, this could be implemented in bg2, too, for some neat surprises?
