And I'm really hoping that they don't fall into the new rut of sex scenes.

Erhm, it's the setting that gives the M... erhm how can you actually show make the sex in this sort of game... hello, there's not that in F1 or F2, or BG's ... as the engine has the same principle restrictions... if you take a look at view angle of the screenshot that was presented and how it was made, the engine is basically 3 dimension based just like the my mentioned games. PS: 3 dimentional... 1: vertical, 2: horizontal, 3: time ( :P ).

Yeah, I know how it looks.  I'm also thinking along the same lines as you, which is why I backed it. I'm not quite as stupid as I look, you know!   :P

EDIT:  Note, they can go beyond certain bounds with text, too, but if they follow along the lines of the BG games or NWN2: MotB, but perhaps a bit darker, it should be fine.  I haven't played PS:T, so I can't make a comparison there, although that seems to be a big inspiration for the direction they are going with the writing.

Project Eternity aiming for M-rated fantasy story, but 'no fart jokes'

Is it too late to cancel the pledge? > :(

I would say that if it's "M" in the manner of Fallout 1 (not Fallout 2), then fine.  I think that mainly got it because of the gore (which you could turn off), the excessive language (which you could turn off), and the usage of drugs.   If P:E doesn't go beyond that, it'll be much better than a lot of games out there.   I really don't think language itself will be excessive primarily because of the setting, gore likely no more than the BG games (chunking was optional in that game though).  And I'm really hoping that they don't fall into the new rut of sex scenes.  That would be a real killer to the game, in my opinion.

In Topic: what mods to use for bg1 and/or bg2

I like to add (in addition to some already mentioned):

Hard Times (Find it with EasyTutu at Pocket Plane Group) - Reduces the amount of coin and fancy items that you find.  I like it, though I imagine some people wouldn't.

The Gray Clan Episode I: In Candlelight (Blackwyrm Lair) - Adds a new quest with some difficult (for me at least) encounters.

In Topic: Tinkering with Portraits

Here's a redo of of Anomen's portrait.  Originally I was just using Anomen as a base for skin tone and also to get the proportions of the head correct in relation to the size of the portrait, but I decided not to change out the armor, at least not for now.

In Topic: Imoen2J vs. BImoen2

For BG2, the standard setup is

IMOEN2 BIMOEN2 BIMOEN25

Imoen after joining uses DV Imoen2, with SoA Banter File = BIMOEN2 and ToB Banter File = BIMOEN25

Using IMOEN2J is storing stuff in the Joined file, which is called by a global or by force-talk (while banters are called by the game itself using the B dialog files)
Post-Joined = IMOEN2P
Joined = IMOEN2J
DreamScript = IMOEN2D
ToB Post = IMOEN25P
ToB Joined = IMOEN25J
ToB dreamscript = IMOEN2D
ToB override script = imoe25
full reference file set at http://forums.gibber...showtopic=15833 but you will need to scroll through the thread as it is a little omnibussant.

I'm looking it over now. It seems that most (so far) of what I've read concerning the dialogues I've been following all along... even if not understanding why. Imoen, obviously, was an exception because of the file situation. So it kind of looks like what I have regarding her is a hack job (well, in a way) that works (for some reason!), but probably should be corrected. What you wrote in the linked thread is very helpful, however, in learning why certain things are ordered in a particular way.

Thanks for the help. I'll be back, for sure. :)
