See if either of these will work for you. 1 batch via Ni, 1 batch via dltcep. For dltcep I
a) run dltcep
B) select edit area (are.wed)
c) select file/load area/then select ar0334 with the resolve names & preview boxes checked - press OK
d) AR0334 will be the file listed in the wedfile window
e) click edit wed (opens new box)
f) click edit tiles (opens new box)
g) click save tileset.

As soon as AR0334 is displayed in the wedfile window the .mos, .wed, and the 3 .bmp files should be in your override. The .tis won't get there until the last step.

The dltcep file fixed the crash I had to enter Cromwell at the docks.
I had no issue with Arlax smithy but Cromwell was crashing my game when clicking at his door (no loading, just bing and game frozen).

Thanks very much for sharing

In Topic: What code in BCS script makes blue foot circles??

29 January 2008 - 11:00 AM

Thanks for all the inputs !
I also managed to create my bcs file to override the problem.
Now it was the first time I used the infini engine and I can give some tips to noobie like me :

Don't do too much before saving and compiling, I wasted 1h30 on a out of control engine (every action was a java heap error, due to a previous
search crash that looked harmless at first)
You can compile many time and save many time.
(actually, I was also doing it, but there was no feeback that it was not successful. the save was generating a 0 byte file.)

No need for backup, the change goes to the override file (I got an empty script after the crash, and just when I was going to reinstall everything, I
realized that common sense fact...).
If something goes way wrong, restart from the original bcs file (delete the override file).

Before the crash, I patched all the makeunselectable, but after the crash I only patched wulf and the player.
You can find the player "abapla" is what you are looking for (Override player1).

Thanks again for the input, very valuable to do the arena !

In Topic: Worldmap Mod

29 January 2008 - 01:28 AM

I tried to install Worldmap to fix RoT (westchar did not appear on the map), but it doesn't seem to work. Setup starts and closes, and cannot be launced again. Two files appear in the game folder - weidu.lock and (only one line in it - F:\Baldur's Gate II Throne of Bhaal\Setup-BP-BGT-Worldmap.exe) and SETUP-BP-BGT-WORLDMAP.DEBUG

[...]

What should I do?
Thanks

On top of Erebusant good feedback, I would suggest to check you don't have an anti-virus or firewall that prevent the update to go throught. Blocking such file modification is a known protective default behavior.

In Topic: TSL Restored Content Mod

24 January 2008 - 12:53 AM

I am patiently waiting for this to be done.
(remains me of watching the progress of TDD for BG2)
They are putting a lot of effort to have a bug free public release,
so it is well worth the wait.

I actually haven't played the vanilla KOTOR 2 games yet (please don't put spoilers of
the cut content without warning, even if you think everyone knows it, there are still people that don't,
like me)

Will surelly replay KOTOR 1 with some mods (I'll need to gather around what is
cool to be added to KOTOR1) when the restoration pack arrives,
and maybe by the time I finish, restoration pack will have some patch to make
the experience as good as possible

In Topic: SMM Auto-DL / Auto-Installer (GUI) / Manual Install / WalkThru

23 January 2008 - 12:15 PM

Yet another question. The TDD kits are removed from the SMM or i've done something wrong in the install?

TDD kits wasn't installed because doing so would fill up the kit slots limited by the Infinity Engine itself. Briefly, each class can have at max 9 kits, and TDD kits fills them all up, which wouldn't allow any other mods to add kit classes. BP would give you that "balanced" set of kit classes that would work with the other bigmods. Hope that answers your doubts :D

Hello bigmoshi,

Excuse me to dig this one but from the install, it seems you install the kit for ROT, which do also fill quite a lot of space for each class.
I also could not find a component in BP that install kits, if that's what you mean with BP giving a "balanced set of kit classes".

By not installing the kits from TDD, the NPC in TDD will only be with main classes from what I could test.
You can install the kit for a mod and then use kit remover (only remove the part on for the PC, not for NPCs) before installing the next kits (if the kits cannot be install for the PC if there is no space, it seems to skip also for the NPC as well from the test I made).
I am still not 100% sure of all cases, I'll keep testing.
