I am in Cht 2 of BG2...

Can I ask this: is 1.05b ok to finish out BG2 and ToB, or does it have some serious problem that would stop me?

Well, first I had put the 'disable movies' command under the movies section of the ini file, so that's why it didn't work before. When I put it under the program options section it works, but the screen comes up all flickering. If I minimise and restore it then the flicker goes. I tried removing the bif file from the folder, which works, but also gives the flickering screen. Then I tried renaming the bif file .bak; that works too, and sometimes without the flickering. The tweak also works, but with flickering. The flickering stops by the time I reach the load screen anyway, so I suppose (I hope) it's not a problem? I am playing at 1024; is it that the movies play at a different res?
