In Topic: installing TDD and BP without lvl 50 rules

even better, search out the files yourself. Once you've extracted (not installed) all your mods, search thru the folders to determine which contain the 2DA's that need to be switched

I tried this but there are only xplevel & xpcap files there. All changes to the mxspl***.2da and other rule files are seems to be done in other way than just copy by weidu mod installer 2da files to override folder. I can't find them in mod folders. Hope someone show with files I need to edit in TDD, RoT and other rules changer mods to prevent level 50 rules.

For all that want to change only xplevel.2da & xpcap.2da here's a location and files that you need to swap with original ToB ones:

The Darkest Day 50 rules
\TDD\RULE\XPLevel.2da

Region of Terror 50 rules
\RoTerror\2DA\XPLevel.2da

Refinements 40 rules with cap removal
\refinements\hlab\_shared\copy\XPLevel.2da, XPCap.2da

BP cap removal:
skip component: Level-50 Ruleset (Code By King Diamond) <- this option should be in all mods that change rules without permisson ;)

G3 Tweaks:
skip component: "Change Experience Point Cap" and others that exchange spell & thaco tables.

I heard about experiance bug that may show up after installing level 40 rules when 50 is already set.
Also other rules changing only xplevel.2da and/or xpcap.2da. What about files like msxplwiz.tp2 (changing spell gaining tables per level) and others that are updated by TDD (or maybe RoT? - not sure but it must be one of BP family mods :/) to level 50 cheat rules and changed values for original levels 1-40 ~~. I will be more than thankfull if someone could tell me which mods add these "revised" files and what I should erase from tp2 (or folders) to NOT allow them to change my original ToB rules without cousing any errors and bugs in game. Maybe it's just me but i think tweaks should always be an optional components...

What about workaround that someone posted on G3?

Are there any problems with Refinements if I delate those *.2DA files from cleric, druid & multiclass folder before installation or it's not save at all?

Candlekeep Chores is changing Gorion, Sarevok and maybe more voices from Polish to English at the beginning of BG1.

+1s are irrelevant to me. The HLAs from DR are simply ports of existing Warrior/Wizard/Thief HLAs, rather than new abilities, and hence there isn't much sense to try and preserve them.

Maybe you right but still DR HLAs got many fans so I think it's not a big deal to add option on WeiDU installation to ask about each class high level abilities installation rather than install all of them at once. I will be thankfull if you could upload setup-refinements.tp2 with this option included.

BTW. 1 question. Are Ref's HLAs work with new kits added by TDD and DR?
