Cheating, I always thought, takes the fun right out of a game, right??????
So how is it,, that when I go into Valygar's home and go upstairs,,
Wizard--in 2 rounds, (I actualy played by rounds)
6 spells cast+10 attacks/round=bitch slaps my entire party (superhasted===always makes every save throw), by the third round, my entire party is dead! (Did I mention that also when he is struck, there was no spell interuption)
Remind to never play D&D with the guy who thought "THIS" was fair!!
So I find out the only way to beat the guy, was to cheat my ass off or to bring the level of play down to novice
(26 years of playing D&D "AS" a DM, trust me I know the game like the back of my hand) to remove the guy from showing at all.
Now I'm trying not to be,,, "judgemental",, or an asshole here,, but WTF is that?
My only question, is how much more damage was done to the game balance?
UPDATE:
Well well well,, what I did was coax his familiars downstairs and for some reason he didn't follow!
Managed to take them out (just before i bolted downstairs I let them waste 1 spell each) (including there spell triggers)
after killing the familiars, I waited a few more minutes (twiddling my thumbs) so that his spells duration would run out,,then I marched back upstairs, and threw averything I had at him.
Has anyone ever seen Minsc running around in circled superhasted trying to avoid attacks from half his size?
Anywho, while the little bastard was trying to off Minsc (maybe he was allergic to hamsters), I threw spell after spell, taking little by little as I could.. Finaly, he wen't "ARGH" with the last lightning blast and I then proceeded to piss in his dead Eye Sockets!
LMAO,,,,,,
