The youtube link you gave... well gives a link to a Russian mostly Command And Conquer based site, that also likely provides translations for some other western games. BG1 and BG2 being those. For donations. Or that's "the interpretation" I came up with ... cause I can't actually read Russian, at all. ... that's the mildest interpretation by the way.

There's nothing that says that the Enhanced Edition team can use the publicly available sound files as they are not of their making. But you are free to download the files yourself, if you find a way to do so. And you can provide a link to the download pages too, but you shouldn't actually link to your own files directly. At least without asking and receiving a permission to do so, first.

thanks for the clarification regarding the differences between ee versions. as to the youtube link, you are correct -- the site itself states that the localizations aren't "finished" -- i basically stopped reading when i saw that there are "donations" required, haha

i didn't imply that the files i have or the links i can provide are supposed to be used by the ee team, on the contrary. it was an offer for modders, nothing more. i don't think anybody would presume that you can just pick a sound set from a different game and release it as an official add-on for your own product. :whistling:

will update later with direct links to the official downloads.

That's the Enhanced Edition of the game... among things it comes with:

Now in 14 languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Polish, Brazilian Portugese, Czech, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), Korean, Russian, Ukrainian

thanks for the quick response -- aren't most of the languages listed text translations only?
i browsed the beamdog forum and many non-english speaking users complained that there are no localized sound sets and why the older files were not at least reused (german, french and russian sections, for example).
