blaa,

There's an installation problem of some sort, as the game starts in Trademeet.

Please note my last post in this thread which 'may' be of use to you. I'm no technical guru, so I hope this approach doesn't have any negative ramifications from a technical perspective, but it worked fine for me.

al,

Not wishing to sound impatient, but do you have a likely release date in mind? I really enjoyed Version 1.3.1., and am keen to play the new and improved version (when you're satisfied with it, of course).

I've done that but I still wind up in Chataeu Irenicus when I start playing.  Do I set the install path to the main BG2 folder?  Do I start the game with baldur.exe or something else?

I'm not sure if this will help, but I ended up copying my entire Baldur's Gate 2 folder into C:\Program Files\Black Isle, so I effectively had two versions of Baldur's Gate 2 in the one folder. I then installed Return to Trademeet into one, and kept the other with my 'standard' BG2.

... Whichever I want to play, I'll rename the folder 'BGII - SoA', while the other is named 'Original BGII -SoA' or 'RTT BGII - SoA' (depending upon which game).

When booting up Baldur's Gate 2, it will go to the version in the folder named 'BGII - SoA'.

In the version below, I've renamed my standard BG2 folder as 'Original BGII -SoA', while my Return to Tradmeet folder has been named the default 'BGII - SoA'.

Rather than uninstalling and reinstalling versions, I've found that simply renaming the folder is a lot quicker and easier to swap from 'standard' to 'Return to Trademeet'.
