I've invented a mod which makes Garren Windspear a joinable NPC. He'd have his own items, quests etc. He joins only when you've done the quest with his kid. If you haven't killed Firkraag he wants you to kill him in 10 days. If you don't do it he waits for you in Windspear Hills until you kill the dragon.
