I was going for a BWP v20.1 full (almost full) installation and with BGT v1.22 all the areas of BG1 didn't have music. I need to downgrade to BGT v1.21.

Do not downgrade just to get 1pp HQ Music compatible. BGT v1.23.1 fixes critical bugs. If you want 1pp HQ Music, you really need to change only one line in its TP2. More info here.

I'll try to release a new version of 1pp in a few days.

I'm not sure if I installed 1pp HQ music.

But the reason I downgraded was not to have "high quality music" but to have music at all.

With the installation of BGT v1.22 the BG1 areas had 0 music. And installing v1.21 fixed it.

In any case this installation is more for debugging so gonna try with v1.23 next.

Thanks!

I don't know if this could help anybody but.

If you have problems with BG1 music this is for you.

Apparently until BGT v1.21 the music is installed as a separated mod generated during the installation of BWP with the bat installer but for BGT v1.22 and upwards the music is a separated component in the same installer, but I think the BWP bat is not designed to install the component.

I didn't try with BGT v1.23 thou.

I'm currently busy translating the BWP patch files for TDD from DOS to Linux, and have run into an interesting question.

The PDF was saying that the Ninde NPC mod is incompatible with TDD, as TDD rewrites the dialog for Ellesime in such a way that it breaks Ninde.  Interestingly, there is a patch for this on the github site.  Am wondering if this issue hadn't long been fixed.  Does anyone run with both the Ninde mod and TDD?  Would love to hear about it.

Also wanted to clear things up a bit.  From my posts, you may get the (wrong) idea that I'm hating on Leonardo.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  I have nothing but the utmost respect for the man.  I suspect he is a Bhallspawn himself in real life ... would almost have to be to create the BWP and keep it running as long as he did.

My gripes deal with one of those (real life) sad - but true issues ... documentation is always at the bottom of the priority list when it comes to development.  Do you have any idea of the number of the mods I've worked with for this project that don't even have a Readme file?  And, of the ones that do, it turns out to be just a list of dates for different releases (no info on what was changed)?

The folks that were entrusted to keep the PDF updated weren't taking the job too damned seriously, and it shows.  From blocks of instruction for installing mod [a] pasted in  the middle of mod [r]  (leaving partial instructions for [a] tagged onto [r]'s end), to instructions meant for mod [r] that were misplaced into mod [a], to the fact they were just copy/pasting without checking if previous component entries were still correct (not to mention incompatibility listings that had already been fixed) ...  I could go on.  I  can't tell you how many times the PDF is offering suggestions for installing component options that don't even exist.  I'd understand it if the mods had been updated since the PDF was written, but they are very often the same version.

Those are just a few samples of the issues I've been running into.  These have been addressed in the txt file, but it'll be awhile before I can write any instructions on how to install.  Right now, I'm too busy troubleshooting.

Anyways, if anyone has installed both TDD and Ninde (via the BWP) I'd love to hear about your experiences.  Same with the Rylorn NPC mod, for that matter (does anyone even still use that mod?).  Rylorn always annoyed the hell outta me as a player ... every NPC sentence ends with an exclamation mark :ermm: .  An interesting mod but (IMHO) poorly written.

I don't have Rylorn in the current instalI nor Ninde.

Wonder why Rylorn is incompatible with basically every mod that adds a blackguard or antipaladin kit.

Shouldn't just override his kit? Or be added in an inoffensive way?

I wonder what "incompatible" actually means or why/how it breaks if you add any kit in that category.

PS: Could you add a link to the Ninde patch? I'm interested. Looks like an interesting character for an evil playthrough.

Anybody have any idea which mod could be causing this?

Please attach your WeiDU log too.

Like a dummy I deleted the debug folder with the weidu log, so no... I wonder if it is the new version of the lure of the sirine call...

Do you know in which file are logged the crash errors when the game crash? I remember something about setting debug mode.

As for NEJ, Leonardo wanted to incorporate it into the BWP but was having all sorts of weird problems with it.  The mod authors advised against it in the first place.  You can read about it at BWL site.  They ca;me up with something they thought would work, but you'll need the exact versions of the mods in question (and likely weidu as well).

I remember playing an older version of BWP (it was like 10 years ago), si it probably was between BWP v10 or v15 and I finished BG1 with all the mods (Norther tales, Dark side, Grey clan, Dark horizons, etc) and finished the NEJ part of the game in the past and returned to Irenicus dungeon.

I don't know if the new version broke anything, but it worked in the past and the first part was absolutely playable and you could finish it.
