Same here. Can't rest, can't save. Begins right after looting the chest outside Irenicus' prison before I even released Jaheira/Minsc.

Same in BG1 too, just pick up the item from the haystack or something similar and the game won't let me save/rest.

Help! :)

Do you have any container? exp. green bag? try to remove (drop on the ground)

Doesn't work sadly. Can't save either in BG1 nor BG2. Switching AI on or off doesen't make a difference. Ctrl + R doesn't seem to do anything either.

When you can't save, you can rest or also no? In my game when I can't save I also can't rest.

Turn off PARTY AI - You can save, but sometime you must Turn On this. STRANGE but it works. :D
