I don't think I can be much help but:
-I also am playing the BG2:EE Steam version
-I just got the Elvira scene, a few in-game days by resting at an inn.
-My Bhaalspawn is a terrible flirt and I think she's actually flagged to be in a romance with Hexxat, but canon romances seem to have no effect on Edwin's mod.
