I was digging into my BG2 install freeze, and I think it may have something to do with the Ascension mod - after redownloading all the BG2 mods during the initial phase, BWP froze up before Ascension downloaded.

I'm having the same problem as the above poster - my green setup bar just freezes during the first part of the mod installation process.
