Have you tested XP gain in vanilla BG2:SoA? You seem to be the only fortunate person to get a 10% surplus on all your ventures. And no, my Phlydia gives me only 50 XP.
Hmmm, no i didn't ... i can try that. My CHAR gets from 50 Xp from quest (it has written in dialog box), but actually if i go into char view, it got 55 instead. If nobody else experienced this it's something really weird and inexplicable.

PS: please note that i'll be away till next sunday, so i will do some more tests later ...
actually i met the same situation. the dialog screen displayed that i obtained 50 xp, but i got 55 xp instead when checking the char experience status.
is it good thing or not?
