I'm experiencing a similar problem: 

ERROR: save_biff failed to close AREA7200/AR7208.TIS during tiles 3
Stopping installation because of error.

Actually I just fixed THAT problem by running cmd as admin and opening big world setup through cmd.

However now I'm faced with this problem:

 

patching file `Yvette\Setup-Yvette.tp2'

In Topic: Crash to Desktop every time a Beholder or Gauth attacks

I'm having this same problem and it's extremely frustrating after beating the entire BG1 with a tactics install without running into a beholders..... Now the game is entirely unplayable.

Is there a fix to this? Or is a reinstall needed?
