I've recently completed PS:T with the newest versions of the Fixpack, Unfinished Business, and Tweaks (all the recommended settings). There were a couple of minor issues every now and then that happened too randomly for me to confirm, but these two I'm pretty sure about:
1. Clerk's Ward completed, before entering Ravel's Maze. Once I'd got everything I wanted out of Fall-from-Grace I removed her from the party. So by the time I completed all the quests in Clerk's Ward I had a party of 4 characters. I was about to hit the maze when I decided to visit the brothel once again because I thought I missed something. And then, BAM! All of a sudden Fall-from-Grace joins my party without prior notice. All I did was enter the brothel (where I left her when I removed her). Not a big issue but it shouldn't happen. I tried this a couple of times, and this occured 2/3 times. I have no idea why it didn't happen for the third time.
2. This is probably wrong place to post this, but with the UB's Extended Deionarra Truth mod installed, when I got to the point where TNO has to solo two demons in UnderSigil it didn't register one of them as a kill (no exp, no game progress). I cast Enoll Eva's Duplication on TNO and then used Meteor Bombardment and Mechanus Cannon. I think that somehow killed the first demon, I got the exp, but the other one was still alive. So I cast Meteor Bombardment again, IIRC, but it was already running away, something glitched up and when the demon fell down to the ground I got no exp points and couldn't progress further in the game. This only happaned once to me, I reloaded and it worked fine. I know this is not much, but I think Eva's Duplication is somewhat glitching with those high-level spells and may require looking into. I had several other issues with that spell, I had no idea what was going on most of the time because animations take long time and other things sometimes overflow with them. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't -- when you expect your TNO to cast a second Meteor Bombardment, there's a chance he just won't (and no, he's not getting hit or anything).
I can't provide savestates, sorry . I've recently had a system failure and lost most of my game data.

In Topic: 1pp animation fixes for IWD:TotLM
14 May 2012 - 09:10 AM
From what I understand, this fix simply restores older animations used in IWD without expansion packs, i.e. original BG I animations. At the same time, it is incompatible with most 1pp releases. Does that mean that 1pp v2/v3 animation/avatar/paperdoll/other replacements available for both BG II and IWD series still offer better quality as compared to this fix? For instance, 1pp v2.70 pack offers custom-made re-worked weapon graphics and paperdolls and 1pp Thieves Galore has awesome custom-made hooded avatars and paperdolls. I assume these won't be available once you restore the original IWD animations which makes this fix far less attractive than restoring better-looking BG I graphics (with re-worked additions) through these other 1pp releases. Could you confirm this or correct me if I am completely wrong? In other words, which of the 1pp packs for IWD graphic replacement should I use to get the finest quality?
To sum up:
This fix: BG I graphics replacement, incompatible with other 1pp mods.
1pp v2.70 and v3 releases: BG I graphics replacement AND re-worked stuff AND additinal ehnancements AND custom content.
I realize *quality* is subjective, but I generally agree with 1pp ethos in this regard, i.e. BG I stuff looks better than BG II, and most custom content made by 1pp artists (like these unique thief avatars) fits into BG I style.

you could try my ddraw wrapper here
ForceDirectDrawEmulation = 1
RedundantFlip = 1
Thanks for the wrapper. I've tried it (along with the config) and it works similarily to your ddraw fix, but performance is somewhat worse: slow and jerky movement of the mouse pointer.
I think I'll just stick to your ddraw fix as it's fine for me. I'm just not sure about all those glitches people report. Maybe it's the widescreen/Ghostdog's UI issue. I don't use these mods and I can't really say I've noticed any spell glitches. Well, maybe some gray and black pixels appearing for a split second around casting area which might as well be just a game flaw (Chain Lightning). As for orange flashes with meteors, do you mean the spell called Elysium Tears or something similar (bluish meteor-tears pounding on targets in AOE)? I used that spell some time ago and I don't remember any glitches happening, there are blue flashes after each hit, so maybe I'm just lucky .

Do you need any fixes with XP + Geforce2? I would think it would run okay without having to do anything extra.
The card itself runs fine on Windows XP and performs decently (for its age) in other games. I use this old PC to run retro games for best compatibility, but apparently this is not the case of Torment. I also tried installing WineD3D directly with its .exe in safe mode, but it's just the same: the game crashes on startup referring to errors in wined3d.dll. GF2 drivers are really old (the 2005 are the latest and final), so maybe Wine doesn't support ddraw library for these particular drivers? Any idea what "extra" things I could do to make it work?

open wined3d.exe inside of 7zip
and extract libwine.dll, wined3d.dll, and ddraw.dll from $SYSDIR into your torment folder
I tried this and the game crashed on startup. Could you specify whether this solution is for Linux or Windows users? I'm using Windows XP and it seems like this wine3d library won't work on my system. I have an old graphics card too: GeForce 2 Ti. Could this be the reason?
Before this I'd been using the ddraw fix and I was satisfied, but now that you mention graphical glitches I suddenly feel like I don't want to miss out on any effects present in the game . I haven't noticed anything in particular, but, for instance, the selection marker tends to disappear on every character once in a while when I enter a new area (it comes back upon re-entering).
