Brother Dewey not giving me books.

I am using the 151 on HARD as suggested and everything about the first day went perfect. Milked cows, put books away, got scrolls scribbed. Talked to Gorion who told me i could play. The Imoen tag seen went fine then i went back to Gorion as Imoen suggested. As Ascension64 mentioned, ALL Gorions dialogues were fubar. With all the talk about wine, and messed up dialogue, sounded like Gorion had been hittin the sauce all day. However, i stumbled through it all and then rested.

The next day i started with Gorion, told him i would do my chores. Got milk (ha ha) then tried to go to Dewey. Every time his dialogue eneded, i got no books. I tried doing his chores first, seeing him before Gorion, etc. Each time i got NO BOOKS. Obviously i cannot go past this test.

I hope we can get a 1.5.2 or some updated version soon. I am itching to get beyond this mod and test the rest out (and i want to play the game!).

I tried this in normal mode (3 chores), as i seemed to be getting nowhere with 150. I like the chores, except for waiting for the scrolls. I would suggest dropping the time by a little bit on the wait for those.. but again, it was not a big deal for me.

However, i get the same problem as TABEA. After completing all the chores, Gorion just stands there with nothing to say.

Is there a SPECIFIC order to do the everything in that people know will work so i can test this? I hope its my install, i have SoS and other weidu mods... but it's tough to verify without a "baseline".

SUGGESTION:
Have the quests appear in the quest log as you find out about them. Only the "milk the cows" appears for me and never gets moved to the "done" side. This provides continuity to the game experience.

Update to this.. i did preform everything in order, at hour 14 i reported to Gorion. No one has anything to say. Tried to play with Imoen after i got done with chores, and that option is no longer available. Sooo... done with all chores, can't play, no one will talk to me. Tried resting... still no change. Did i do something wrong?

You need to get the fixed .tp2 file here.  Right click the link and select Save Target As..., and overwrite the original .tp2 in your BGII install folder

Yea! Thank you so much. I played BG ages ago and a friend just gave me TOSC (finished) and SOA/TOB. Found all these cools mods, looking forward to playing them.

This is really frustrating. I have older CTB game files, and never did get it to work. I have heard a lot of realy great things about this MOD and now i cant get the latest... no matter bandlwidth (ADSL to T1) or time of day, i get less than 5k throughput on the download and it always dies before 1M. 

I had the same problem and downloaded Internet Download Manager. After it's installed and started up you click on the link and let it do the download for you. It's easy to use and I went up from around 2.5k to 60k with an average around 30k. And not one download died on me.

You can find a trial version of Internet Download Manager here. I don't know if it will work but you can always give it a try.

Your kung-fu is powerful indeed! This download manager works (i tried 2 others to no avail). It does conflect with the Google Desktop Search (PC w/XP Pro/Mozilla [latest build])- but you can just disable that for the duration.
