Ascension is hardwired into BP, so yes, the last battle is changed. I won't spoil too much on that, but your actions and roleplaying can change the battle (you can have less enemies and more allies).

Ahhhh, okay, thanks. What's odd about this - the game I am at the final battle on is one I started long before I installed BP (I had a bug at the end, where it didn't think I had completed all the challenges, so couldn't go on to the last battle. Rather than finding a way to get around that, I installed BP and started a new game. But, I decided to go back to the other one, and use a CLUACOnsole command to tell it I finished the challenges, and move on, not realizing the BP mods would affect the final battle).

I think he has to free the prisoners before you can kill him.  Make sure he can actually walk around to all the prison doors.  If he's blocked, he might not be able to complete that script and become vulnerable.

I discovered I was able to tell the Major I was successful, even with this guy still alive. The problem seems to be that after he frees the first prisoners, they start attacking him, so he attacks them, and never moves on to the next batch of prisoners, so never becomes vulnerable.

hmmm as far as I remember I had this problem because I had killed the prelate in the Radiant Heart since I had Valen in my party and all the paladins actually attacked me when I entered it....So unless u had him killed somehow I can't explain it otherwise...

Where in there is he supposed to be? I looked everywhere, but I suppose I could have just missed him. Did the CluaConsole thing work for you that (I think) seanas suggested?
