Thanks for the reply.

I minimized and there was nothing posted for Windows Firewall, I have also tried adding all of the security permissions to the firewall list for Baldur's Gate II and tried running it with the firewall off. Is there a chance that this could be caused by my router or any other third party program?

when you extract using WinRar there is also a checkbox somewhere that says somthing to the effect of "open containing folder when finished," I would reccommend checking that before you start to make sure the files go where you want them too and if they do not they are easy to find and cut+paste to the desired folder.

Hi not Rose,

Directory just means where you installed the game, so put it in the "c:\baldurs gate\bg2" folder.
