Any suggestions on a better directory or location to install BG?

Translate the term "Games" to your own language and use it to replace it at this; C:\Games\BGII - SoA
And C:\Games\Baldur's Gate -folders. :lol:

Well, unless the term then has non ANSI marks(so all these are OK; 1-9 A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z a b c d - y z)


I'd just make a directory called C:\Games and install everything to that (you'll have never ending problems trying to install anything to C:\Program Files).

Great suggestions. Already moved a few non-essential folders out of there. I'll give the reinstall another try and turn off the VP. ...it's obviously not a harmful set of files unless you're all in on the joke... ;)

Well, your install folder --- is not a good one... as you shouldn't install to the C drives Program subfolders. And the "Baldurs Gate II" folder should be "BGII - SoA" ...

Couldn't open the readme: file not found.
ERROR: No translation provided for @100000

This all says that that the files were unable to be copied to the proper folder because the Operation System disallows the action. Or your anti virus protection eats it.


Excellent. I'll give it a a different path and directory. These folders and paths were automatically selected by the GOG.com downloader and I guess I don't know any better. :P Any suggestions on a better directory or location to install BG?

Alright, so I did a fresh install of BG & BGII.

I unzipped the BGT-WeiDU folder and C/P the files into the BGII folder.

I clicked the Setup-BGT.exe file and began installation.

I'm not getting past step 2 of installation. What am I not getting?
