Oh yes, I meant the google search works as a work around to the site's search which is indeed, broken! In case anyone cares, that's already in the pinned thread on this very forum... but what the original poster was saying was that the SHSForum search is not working, not a search...Actually the search WORKS!! You just have to use google and type the following at the google prompt:
site:shsforums.net <what you want to search for>
and you'll get all the results instantly!
Search for the word "mega-mod" without the quotes, and the SHS search gives no results, but you can check and the original post(#0) has that word for example.

I really wished the search functioned worked so i can say... "Look for your problem first before posting!" But alas, it doesn't
http://www.shsforums...s-cry-for-help/
Activate the console and copy and paste this commandCLUAConsole:CreateCreature("WOLFCH.CRE")Using Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste.
Be near Melicamp when you type this. And make sure you kill the wolf (it doesn't run away...). This should fix your problem.
Also...
Remember to post your weidu.log when you ask about bugs here, luckily, we already know the solution.
Basically, SCS's running wolf behavior can cause Melicamp's wolf to run away... and thus not die. The next part of melicamps dialogue requires that the wolf is dead.
A solution would be to either
A) Not install component 3110 of SCS.
B) Edit WOLFCH.CRE so it does not use SCS's wolf script (or edit SCS...)
C) Manually spawn wolf again... or manually set dialogue variables.
D) Reload previous save and make sure wolves in the area do not run away...
This is all assuming you have Component 3110 of SCS installed... but I don't know, since you didn't post your Weidu log
If this isn't the problem, you may have to set a variable. Which involves "diggering" through Infinity explorer... which i hate because of all the spoilers...

ok, i have a question, slightly off topic, sorry the NEJ adds a custom kit for Imoen you said. Is that the charming rogue kit by any chance?
Yes that's exactly it. The charming rogue kit will will break the transition to BG2. Jarno confirmed it and I reinstalled because of that.

Hello everyone. After several years away, I've come back to the world of Baldur's Gate, and I'm delighted to see that there's still a community creating additional content, and especially impressed by the new BiG World project.
After a few days of collecting stuff and installing, I started to play this morning.
I've installed the 'tactics' version, with the addition of the NeJ files as outlined in the PDF, and the deletion of a few files that couldn't be found (Legion of Hell, for instance, and one or two of the npc mods).
I got through Candlekeep just fine, but the game hangs when I leave with Gorion. Any suggestions?
Sorry to say but you'll want to reinstall to the "Recommended" version, and even THEN, with certain options changed.
For example the NEJ mod adds custom classes for Imoen and a few other NPCs, well that causes a hang during transition to BG2.
The Jondalarfix-mod which is part of the Recommended install, messes up Jondalar's speech in Candlekeep, so you want to remove that mod in the batch file, before you actually install anything.
Then in the BGTTweaks mod, options 2400,2500,2600 cause areas like Ulgoth's beard and Durlag's tower to be inaccessible from their regular locations.
The modified wolves/dogs mod causes the "talking chicken" quest around High Hedge to break, because the wolf no longer spawns and you have to CLUAConsole him in and the same goes for Jonell, who is part of the 3 NPC group in SW of Bluebell Wood whom you need to kill to get his medallion for a quest. I ended up loading him in as well.
Everything else is stable.
See the attached Weidu log and my modified batch file (just rename it from .txt to .bat at the end, else it won't let me post it). This is after 5 reinstalls. Everything is running good with my options and I even added stuff like large ammo capacity 160 per stack and the mule pack, and I added widescreen, which are good and stable. Widescreen did make everything a little small (i run at 1680x1050) but nice and sharp.
NEJ is the biggest problem you'll have.
In the future, I plan to selectively add mods which I'll check beforehand, like SoU and a few others.
Good luck and read the my other posts here, to see what I went through during the past week. Hopefully it'll save a few newbies a LOT of time and hair pulling.
But BGT is WELL worth it. Played it only once 10 years ago and just now I realize what a masterpiece it is. Nothing like it around!

I got through the install process and got to the installer and it is stuck at the BG1-patch-check and is not going anywhere. i have the patch v 5512 for tales of the sword coast. i bought the electronic version of the game
What's it saying at the patch check? What's giving you the error message?
I have the GOG version of BG1 w/ ToSC and a regular version of BG2 w/ ToB. Had no problems installing.
