Ok.. I'm not 100% sure if this is a bug.. or maybe I am just extremely unlucky.. or if I somehow did something wrong.. or what..
Ok.. This is what happened..
Somehow, miraculousely, the Romance with Tashia(Yes the protagonist is male) had not reached an 'intimate' level by the time I finished BG2:SoA.. I think I was somewhere about 36ish or so 'LoveTalk'... Somewhere around there.. I checked the variables for TashiaMatch and RomanceActive, and both were set to 1.. So I know she didn't dislike my char... Of that I can promise you.. I did have another 'romance' active at the time.. And I'm not sure if Tashia will stop Romancing your char after a certain LoveTalk if your present romancing another char.. so, that very well might be the problem... I was planning on turning Jahiera(sp) down if she offered a 'romance' .. And that way, Tashia's Romance was would the 'dominant' one, and continue on.. I am passing a thought that maybe I waited too long and Jahiera's romance had advanced too far somehow.. Which is annoying because I never WANTED to romance her.. but I also enjoyed the dialogue, just for the sake of dialogue.. But I didn't want to ROMANCE her.. But I also didn't feel like pushing her away by being a jerkoff.. Maybe I should have just done that.. Oh well... Anyways..
I noted, she didn't say anything in Spellhold when I did the slayer transformation.. My reasoning is that the romance was not yet deep enough yet for her to say anything.. Maybe.. I'm not sure... Also.. By the time I got to Bhodi's lair, the final time... NO ONE on my party was 'capture' and the whole quest thing with getting them back... My party consisted of (Yes, I fully understand the difficulty) Nalia, Imoen, Tashia, Jeheira(sp?) .. And myself, who is a Sourcerer like Tashia.. That's 4 mages yes. : P .... and a druid... On a side note.. this game is /so/ hard if you have an all-mage party.. you need fighters(meatshields) ... It's fun watching the spells fly though.
Anyways.. Jehiera(sp..) was also 'romancing' my char, though it had no reached any critical level..
The problem being.. when I go to ToB, Saradush, ect.. it seems Tashia's Romance was 'de-activated' .. I checked the Match and Active variables and they were both 1(on).. I tried to force a responce with the 'SetGlobal("TashiaRomance","GLOBAL",1)' .. Didn't do anything.. she just stands there as though I never typed it.. also I noted, if you talk to her.. her list of options no longer includes flirting.... I'm not sure what all this means, as I didn't do the coding and scripting for her...
My only theory was that if the Romance had not advanced far enough by the time you get to ToB, it's de-activated.... Which seems to be the case.. I'm not sure on that, but it's my guess... She hasn't said anyhing in ages, though the SetGlobal Romance thing should have invoked some kind of response.. I also note, the Tashia patch was indeed installed as the most recent thing in my BG2 folder.. nothing over it.. I do have the Official ToB patch installed, and all that.. so it isn't that...
I know on your troubleshooting thing it said to re-install 'everything' .. and deleat your entire overide folder.. I 'could' do that.. but I personally don't think it has anything to do with something like that... I feel this is either a bug.. or perhaps a fault in the script, that you set the ToB Romance to continue where the other left off, but being the Romance had not even advanced past 40, maybe it doesn't continue, but stops.. This might have been your intention, or maybe not.. Either way, I don't know... Those are the facts.. I hope it's enough for you to analyze the problem, if there indeed even is one...
That's all.. I hope I get a response to this, but of course.. if you can't, oh well... On a last note, up till this little 'problem', I very much enjoyed Tashia, she's a good character.. The scripting is well done, and the grammar and spelling are very well written.. I think I only noticed a single spelling error out of all the dialogue... It's kind of dissapointing this had to happen but.. well.. anyways.. Good luck, and thanks for your time..
