Thayvian Linguistics

09 June 2004 - 10:44 PM

Hi Laufey, I've noticed you've used a few Thayvian phrases such as "tazurel kin", "darm kin", etc and I'm curious as to what their origins are. Did FR ever release a kind of Thayvian dictionary?

From Eddie's pseudo-Russo-Hungarian accent, I would have thought that the Thayvian language would have been slavonic/magyar in sound but this doesn't seem to be the case.

For example, let's take the phrase "My Love"...

Thayvian: Tazurel kin.

Russian: Lyubimaya moya

Hungarian: Szerelmem

Oh well, even if there's no similarities I would still love to hear Elvira ask her son's sweetheart, "Akarsz csinalni hazassag elotti szerzodest?"

(Translation: Do you know what a pre-nuptial agreement is?) ^_^
