Inappropriate ambient sound effects in third cloakwood map (AR1600)

15 September 2008 - 09:11 PM

The ambient sound of bats in a cave environment are being played frequently while on the third cloakwood map (AR1600). This is very out of place in an outdoor, wooded area.

Potion of Freedom is removing Monk's movement bonus

03 September 2008 - 05:46 PM

The ring of free action does not remove the monk's (and presumably the barbarian's) innate movement speed bonus, but the potion of freedom is. This is different behavior from the ring of free action, which will remove bonuses to movement speed granted by items such as the boots of speed, but will not remove the innate speed bonus. If a monk drinks a potion of freedom, they become as slow as a normal class. Interestingly, if a monk is wearing a ring of free action and uses a potion of freedom, this does not occur, presumably because the free action effect is already present and is not overridden by the potion.

The removal of the innate speed bonus appears to not be permanent - once the potion wears off, the innate speed bonus returns.

BGT Compatibility with David Gaider's Bhaalpowers

28 August 2008 - 07:34 AM

The Bhaalpowers that were in the game but cut from the pocket plane scripting file (AR4500.bcs) because they were thought to be too confusing along with the HLAs - I 'd like to add them to my BGT install, but there is already a AR4500.bcs file in my override folder.

Is this something that would need to be added prior to BGT-Weidu, or is it simply not compatible?

Rescue Dynaheir exp reward inconsistency

26 August 2008 - 08:57 AM

If you rescue Dynaheir at the Gnoll Stronghold after meeting with Minsc (and he is in the party), when you find Dynaheir and initiate dialog with her, the first dialog option is "You are welcome in my party, one can not have too many friends". Choosing this option completes the quest and awards the party with 800 experience points. However, if you choose any other dialog option such as "who are you to warrant a bodyguard?" or "how did you come to be captured by these creatures", and then finish the dialog with "you are welcome in my party, one can not have too many friends", the quest is completed, but no experience points are awarded. This seems strange and inconsistent. Finishing the quest with this dialog option should award the experience even if it is not chosen first.

Combat music getting "stuck on"

25 August 2008 - 10:33 PM

Just like the title says, battle music sometimes continues to play after all enemies are defeated until such time as I
a)enter a building or otherwise transition to another area,
b)click on the edge of the map (wagon wheel icon) to bring up the world map - in this case the battle music stops regardless of whether I travel to another area or return to the game screen
Once one of these things occurs, the battle music stops and the expected music appropriate for the area resumes.

BGT 1.06 is installed on top of G3 BG2 Fixpack (but this was confirmed to happen without the fixpack as well)
BGT Tweak v7 is installed
BG1/TotSC music option is enabled (still in BG1 portion of the game)
No other mods.

This does not happen 100% of the time; it is intermittent. One area where it seems to happen rather often is after killing the last of the hobgoblins in the area around the Friendly Arm Inn (and yes, I'm sure they're all dead).
