So, I picked up the 4 in 1 DVD version of Baldur's Gate I & II recently becaue believe it or not I've never played Baldur's Gate II! I installed the whole lot on my computer last night (including the bioware patches)and ran both flavours just to make sure that they played properly. BGI ran without issue but I'm having big problems getting BGII to display properly.
What seems to be happening is that the game graphics, both in full screen and window mode are too big for the screen, and rather than 'resampling' (if that's the right word) and resizing to fit the screen properly I am only able to see about two thirds of the screen. It 'seems' to be positioning in the top left so the information on the bottom and the right of the screen is cut off. I've tried tinkering with the display / resolution settins both on my computer and in game and nothing seems to make any difference to the positioning. Any ideas?
I'd imagine that it would help to know that I'm running the game on a windows vista laptop with nothing fancy in the way of graphics cards / accelerators but if you need any more information let me know.
Thanks in advance!
ETA: I should add that I've run the widescreen mod and it makes no difference, and the screen resolution is set to 1440 x 900, the graphics accelerator is the standard Intel one. I'm now in the process of reinstalling the whole lot to see if it makes a difference.
DOUBLE ETA: Never mind, disabling the 3D options in the game options menu seemed to work.
