Hi, I just tried a standard installation of BWS version 20130117, but near the end of the extraction process I got the error in the png file that I attached. Does I need to redownload PST Paletted Animations or what? Don't really know what to do, thanks in advance for your help.

 

Edit: this is the second time that I forgot to click on attach this file, lol. Sorry, now there's bwp error.png. However I just follow your advice and now it works. Thank you!

 

Edit 2: well now the extraction is ok, the installation starts and finish when setup-bwinstallpack is installing.

"~SETUP-BWINSTALLPACK.TP2~ #0 #0 // BiG World Installpack-11.2.12.7z" in weidu.log is the last thing written.

I had the same problem in the past because I was using an old version of bws, but now I'm using the last one, so again I'm lost.

 

In bws I'm using "BiG World Install.bat (fixed and well-tried)" with standard installation, maybe I should try "BiG World Setup (detailed customization)"?

I can't find anymore BWP Setup in the "downloads" section, so I download bws_9-20110501 somewhere else. When it tries to upgrade here's the warning: "fetching program-updates failed. Probably the required file for the BWS is not available at the moment. Due to these circumstances some new additions and fixes may not be available for you."
After 3 days it seems strange to me that it can't update. So i wonder if right now I have to use the Big World Installpack and download myself all the mods that I want or if I can still use BWP Setup that helps me download lot of them.
Just searched the forum for some info but can't find anything, thanks for your help like always!

Hi, I have done a standard installation of the BWP (with the BWP setup): everything seems to works fine, but I can't see the kit scroll bar and tobEx told me that "kit selection scroll bar not found" (in the attach files there's tobEx.log with the message). I try to search the forum and I found the discussion "
ToBex's Scrollable Kit Selection enabled, but not actuall"

: "Remove dipendency" option is mentioned but I don't know what does it mean and if it's the same problem (or guicg.chu is overwritten).
If you need more informations or files let me know, thanks

Hi, I have a problem with the BWP setup (standard mode). It can't install correctly the Baldur's Gate Trilogy for an error (see the attach file) and I don't know what to do. Do you some tips or advice? I have window 7 64bit, UAC is disabled and the antivirus too during the installation.
Edit: yes it's installed in Program Files but not on the windows partion (drive c), in d:\program files\black isle\baldur's gate 2 because I have more space in the d drive. The attach file now is there to see.

Edit 2: change the directory to d:\games\black isle\baldur's gate 2 but same problem with the Trilogy (new attach file, but the problem seems the same to me). I wonder if I have a problem with the game. I'm italian and I have the italian version of BG and BG2, maybe I need the english version to solve the problem. But I think that the problem is in black isle\baldur's gate\data where there are problems with AREA230B.BIF, the file is there but in the attach file you can see the errors related to that file. Wait for some tips, thanks for the help

Edit 3: found it. I replaced the "data" directory (black isle\baldur's gate\data) with all the area from another baldur's gate installation that I have in another PC and now it's going forward the Trilogy. I hope it doesn't block again, right now the installation is going on. Thanks Beleg33 for your help, I think it's a problem with the italian copy of BG.
