If you give TNO too much to carry so that he's unable to move, you'll be able to instantly "teleport" to any entry point by clicking on it. I assume this was to stop you getting trapped in an area without throwing out all your stuff, but it does make getting around a lot quicker if you've already explored an area =P
Fell warns you against signing anything, but signing something for Iannis is actually necessary in order to get your legacy, which you need to do to get to Ravel's Maze. In addition, there's strong hints that a previous incarnation already signed at least one Dead Contract, making Fell's warning seem even more ridiculous.
Merchants apparently have a supernatural ability to sense when a good's been fenced. It doesn't matter if you stole it from a merchant on a different plane, they still won't take it. Presumably the aim of this was to prevent "unlimited gold" exploits although if you're that good at stealing from shops why would you need gold anyway? (Curiously, merchants have no such quibbles over pickpocketed goods. Even if it was them that you pickpocketed. =P)
