Hey all, I had a problem with the part of the game in Ust Natha where the demon lord is summoned by the matron and is killed by it, then Phaere is supposed to say something. But all I get after the demon finishes talking is a "No Links or dialogues" in my dialog box. I gave Phaere the fake eggs Solaufein gave to me, so maybe that has something to do with it.
I did some searching on the topic and I thought I had found the solution - an unupdated version of the Gavin NPC mod. So I update that (I think this is where I went wrong - the uninstallation took a really long time as did the reinstallation of the updated version, a few hours each) and boot up the game.
The only problem is that now the game takes a good 5 minutes to load once I click on my shortcut to bgmain (all while bgmain.exe is active in my task manager) and when I'm inside the game it is really really slow and choppy. And it didn't fix my problem! I still have the same dialog problem. So I just decided to just kill the demon lord and make a run for the exit. A pretty easy 19,500 XP as he didn't even put up a fight.
As a sidenote on my way out I was stopped by a duergar to talk to the being in the tank on the first platform by the merchants and asked to kill this NPC and take their brain, so I did that and it turned all the inhabitants of Ust Natha against me. I couldn't even go back to turn in the brain. Is that supposed to happen?
So I know I messed up somewhere, but I don't know where and I don't know how severely. I have a feeling I've messed things up pretty bad...
I'm attaching my Weidu.log file which I haven't done anything with since I updated the mod, should I update it somehow and then repost it? Is there anything else I should attach as well?
Thanks for your support.

Some Questions

Hey all, first off I want to say thanks to everyone for all the hard work you put into the mods. After taking a long hiatus from BG1 (Bogged down in Durlag's Tower and lost the will to go on) I'm back to playing it and have been addicted lately.
But now I have some problems, the first being I am having a graphical glitch over my main character (first in party order) where the spell Bigby's Crushing Hand keeps repeating. It's not so game breaking but can be annoying when it obfuscates the enemies. I saw this link mentioning the glitch but I've been searching around for a solution to no avail. If the solution is somewhere really obvious and I'm too blind to see then please forgive me.
My other question is just a matter of opinion. Does anyone know where (with all the mods adding recruitable party members) I can find a fighter specializing in sword+shield style that can wear heavy armor in BG2:SoA? I think I've made my party so far, but I really want to switch out Kivan for someone more tanky.
Also, I realize that I am probably playing an un-updated version of all the mods. Is it safe to update everything? If so, how do I do that? Do I just run the BiG_World_Setup.exe file in my main directory? Or is there another file? Again, forgive my ignorance.
Thanks!

Can't Dispel Claws

Hey, I've been playing BG religiously for the past few days, and have encountered a bug. It's probably something I've done, but I don't know how to fix it!
I'm playing BG1 with a party of the canon characters and a human paladin. I found a Cloak of the Wolf in a cave in one of the Siren maps, I think the southernmost one on the coast with the lighthouse. I've given it to Imoen and forgot about it, and then while I was doing a quest for the thieves guild in Baldur's Gate where I needed one thief, I used her. While I was waiting for my contact to show up, I realized I had the cloak and used it. No problem, it was fun to see her as a werewolf then I turned it off. Now she has permanent claws! I can't equip any weapons on her or remove the bag of plenty I had equipped before using the cape.
This is annoying as I want her to use a crossbow instead of running up and punching stuff in the face. I've tried dispelling it or resting and trying the cape again. It's weird - whenever I use the cape she successfully transforms and then only seconds later (without me pressing the "return to human form" button) turns back into her own self.
Oh, and while I'm here, is there any way to re-level the characters from level one, being able to reallocate their proficiencies and other skill points? I stupidly didn't level up Imoen's Open Lock skill and now that she's a dual classed wizard I can't get it any higher.
Thanks!

BGMain Crash at Startup

Hey, will be a huge fan of your work once I can get my problem fixed...I have been searching around for a solution to my problem for a while with no luck - perhaps somebody can help me.
Every time my BGMain.exe file executes it instantly crashes.
It seems that my BG2 game does simply not want to run. I have done multiple clean installs in different directories and my problem still persists. After install I get to the config menu with no problem, as the baldur.exe file runs without fail. But when I finish my config and BGMain starts up, all I get is an hourglass icon next to my mouse for a brief second and then nothing.
There's no error - and it's driving me insane! I don't know what to do. I really want to play all the wonderful mods as I haven't enjoyed this game in years, and when I did it was unmodded.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Please forgive me if this is answered somewhere or is in the wrong section.
By the way, I'm using Windows XP.
