Baldur.err only has start logging session in it.
I saw that possibly disabling the below two entries might help, but I was wondering if these are the correct settings to have from a fresh install of BWP.
Externalise Mage Spell Hiding=1
Externalise Race Selection StrRef=1
I selected recommended with only a few selected additional mods and all of them were from the standard set(blue). I should note that this is a fresh installation of Baldur's Gate following the installation instructions exactly as stated in the BWP 9.3 help doc. I've done multiple installs after the first incident(using BWP's restore function of course) trying different package arrangements and I always get this same exact problem no matter what. Using BGMAIN.exe results in everything working perfectly without any problems, as far as I can tell.
One thing I noticed is that the Big World Install.bat defaults to the wrong preset directory during a certain part of the installation and then asks me to manually enter the correct path. The very last time through this, before I decided to make a post here, I changed the directory to the correct path hoping it would have an effect and still have the same problem. I noticed that it places one file, BGMAIN.exe into the preset directory but the directory I actually had BG installed to didn't have the same BGMAIN.exe as the preset one it incorrectly began copying that one file to before it obviously began copying to the correct directory upon me entering the correct path of my BG directory. I say the BGMAIN.exe wasn't the same because the date on the copied one in the preset directory was in the year 2000 and the one in my directory after installation was 1999.
Attached my TobEx.ini, renamed the extension to .txt so that it could be attached.
