I have a compatibility question.

15 March 2003 - 09:54 AM

Is this mod compatible with TDD? Because TDD changes .2das, offers new kits/classes. What will happen if I install Rogue Re-balancing mod on top of TDD? Will .2da files conflict?

Thanks in advance!

I made Tashia and Kelsey TDD 1.0.3 compatible!

Okay,
First download latest WeiDU version and rename it as Kelsey or Setup-Tashia/Kelsey.exe.
Second Install ToB and download NearInfinity (you need Java runtime enviroment to run it -v.1.40 or some such. Go to Java website and download it).
Third export SongList.2da using NearInfinity.
Fourth rename SongList extension to txt and open it.
Fifth add this line at the bottom of songlist:
84 J#Blank J#Blank.mus -practically manual patching.-
Sixth rename it as SongList.2da and ALWAYS keep a copy of it.
Install Kelsey. Place a copy of your manually modified SongList.2da into override folder.
Seventh Install Tashia. Place a copy of your manually modified SongList.2da into override folder (again!).
Ninth Enjoy!
This is not fully tested yet but initially it works! So beware!.

Tashia isn't compatible with TDD ToB v1.0.3!

Kelsey and Tashia aren't compatible with TDD 1.0.3 ToB. Reasons unknown but they cause game killer issues. Worldmap gets corrupted denying access to some areas and you don't hear much of SoA and ToB sounds. Since Jason has no intention to make Kelsey compatible with TDD 1.0.3 I edit this post. No pestering is needed for Arian, for my speculations are largely proved false. But you are warned! Don't install them on top of TDD 1.0.3!

Interestingly enough this has stirred many flamings in TeamBG chat in according to Ken's now deleted post. Somebody even accused Ken and tried to force him make TDD compatible with WeiDU mods!!! Had I foreseen this foolishness, I wouldn't have posted my warning. Still I feel responsible for people who tries to play as much mods as possible. Anyway uninstalling Tashia and Kelsey normally, restores your TDD 1.0.3 to its previous state.
