I had the same problem, what you need to do is go to configuration and enable brightening, this will fix it. 8)

Yes@!  Perfect.  Thank you.  Weekend saved.

I am not sure exactly why I cannot install Beta version. I am able to successfully install standard version.

If I understood directions at beginning of post I am not to run updates. So when you get to first screen the continue button is grayed out. So I hit HINT and then had to wait a bit and it then flipped to next screen. From there I hit continue and it bombs. I redid install more than once. Bombed all three times, same area. Logs attached.

Windows 7 64 bit (and I did prep software per instructions as far as turning of prompts etc.)

Tx it now work great :)

I'm sure I'm asking in the wrong place but... I really don't know where to ask... I got the standard install ... I'm wondering about xpélv cap.. is there any? or I could grow to a real beast fighter/mage/cleric

There is a XP Mod in the standard install.  However, it had an error during install I ran 2 days ago and I have not heard how/if it will be addressed.  Unfortunate, because from what I read without proper XP adjustment the additional content cause balancing issues.  So I have not really started to play yet.  Probably will wait and reinstall once it is fixed.

"Well, the XP mod has problem with the new version of the WeiDU.exe would be my explanation... "

So as I noted above, I have up till now just removed any mod that seemed to cause issue; most did not seem to be significant loss.  However, the XP Mod seems to be important.  So since I am fairly new and really don't understand the dynamics of how things get done, is this something that once it has been reported will be corrected?  I should wait?  Reinstall without?

Thanks

Ok. What's in line 1?

There should be something line cd /D "C:\BWP\BGII - SoA\Black Isle\BGII - SoA".
When that's missing - which may be the case here - please look at BiG World Setup\Logs\[TIMESTAMP\]BiG World Debug.txt. (The file may be in a sub-folder with a timestamp.) There should be a sentence like this:

The "BiG World Setup" was not able to adjust the selected "Baldur's Gate" path for the BGT installation or the adjustments for a BG2 only installation in the "BiG World Install.bat". The defaults will be used.

Maybe we can solve that issue then.
I'd create a small test-script that only reads the values and tries to adjust the BiG World Install.bat.

No, looks ok:

The "BiG World Setup" has adjusted the selected "Baldur's Gate"
path for the BGT installation or the adjustments for a BG2 only
installation.
The original "BiG World Install.bat" has been saved with the suffix
.bak.

The "BiG World Setup" has done its tasks.
If you exit the "BiG World Setup" the "BiG World Install.bat" will be
started.

I was a bit unclear about which file you were referencing about line #1.  In any case, I do not see it in either but have attached since they are small.
