Wait ... so you uninstalled your 'End Biff', and did a reinstall?? It's always best to use a clean install of BGII-ToB to reinstall anything that's been biffed. Your theory on the things sound right though Maybe cause some mods that append to scripts to create those encounters appended twice when you reinstalled since you closed the window directly?? Your problem doesn't seem fixable though.
While I dunno anything much your problem, your WeiDU.log seems kinda off the recommended BiG World Project Install order. Have you given the BWP a try?? The BWSetup just got updated to 8.2 and should make all your modding problems go goodbye
I'd suggest deleting your entire BGII-SoA folder, reinstalling BGII-ToB and using the BWS to get your dream modded game set up
Download and run
Cheers,
Lol
Well, I thank you for your response, but I don't have ToB... I'm running a SoA only game. I've never owned a copy of ToB, and therefore have never played it. I'd love to use the BWS. I tried using it but for some reason it wouldn't work. I don't know if this has anything to do with the fact that I don't have ToB installed or whether it has something to do with the fact the I'm using Windows Vista (I believe I've heard that this version of Windows has some compatibility issues with a lot of gaming gear). I'm wondering if what I need is a copy of a vanilla data folder for my BG2 directory... would this help me get rid of the biffed data so that I could start the process over clean?
Anyway, I've installed all of these mods manually (because of not being able to run the BWS), and ran into what I thought were problems with the BW install orders. For instance, I assumed that if I wanted the flaming swords component of 1pp v2.70 to affect all fiery blades in the game and mods that I would need to install this late in the order as opposed to early as it states in the BW manual. This was an idea that was inspired by various forum posts about installing 1pp v2.70. I suppose the order in which I modded my game may be the reason for my problems... but, the order seems to make sense to me. If someone could enlighten me to why this order may be defunct I'd be happy to listen to the details (although I can't promise I'll understand them). So... any further suggestions? Any ideas on some of the other questions asked in my initial post? If I do a full reinstall will I be able to use my exported character or saved game?

That sounds like a fine idea.In theory, yes, you can install an uninstalled mod component long after other components are installed, even after biffing. In practice, this might cause undesired results, though I doubt that'd be the case here.I guess what I need to know now is whether or not I can install that component (and only that component as the others I want are already installed) now that I've biffed and all that jazz. Or, do I have to go all the way back to 1pp in the installation order to snap it in there?
Rofl. Maybe all readmes should be that way. Either that or make them accessible only via a big red button that says "DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CLICK ON THIS BUTTON!"And don't worry about the readme thing. It has been suggested to me that I should title my readmes "Secret Diary DON'T READ" to get people to actually read them.
Guess I'll try to install the component and let the chips fall where they may. If things go screwy, guess I can always start over with a clean install. Once again, thank you for the help.

The legacy shields do not change the inventory icons, just the avatar animations. It's probably indeed the everything but potions part that is missing.
I can't say whether it would or would not cause problems to install it last (I'm not familiar with most larger mods out there). If you're using other current 1pp components (you didn't mention) like the avatar patches or the v3 paperdolls, there's almost certainly going to be some conflict (i.e. reverting to the old files).
Naw... just the legacy shields bucklers and medium shields, flaming swords and short swords, installed from 1pp v2.70. So, "everything but potions" changes the icons. Well if that's the case than I know that's why the inventory icons aren't showing up, cause I didn't install it . I know it sounds silly, but, while installing I couldn't remember what the component did (I know, I know I'm sure I could have found out by looking around - some might even think the name of the component says it all - I have a feeling it's probably stated in the read me... got lazy I guess) so I skipped it. I guess what I need to know now is whether or not I can install that component (and only that component as the others I want are already installed) now that I've biffed and all that jazz. Or, do I have to go all the way back to 1pp in the installation order to snap it in there? Guess maybe I should try posting on a biff forum. Thanks a lot for your help.

Also, I should probably state that I installed 1pp after bg2 fixpack, at the beginning of the installation process.
Sorry for the back to back posts, but I felt that my above post needed clarifying. Have to say that I love the fact that bucklers have been made little and round, and that fiery blades now look fiery. Keep working your magic!
