Edwin blinks and dissappears in BG2

Hi all,
until now i had no really bad bugs with my tactical level installation. Alas iīm now at the begin of the Mae Var Quest in BG2 and wanted to say hello to Edwin, whom i had through the entire first part. When i go up to the third floor Edwin is there for one second, blinks a few times and dissappears
Same happens when i recreate him via the console.. could maybe anybody help me with this problem?

Transition of Characters between BG 1 and 2?

Hi,
just a short question, since i have finished my modded game through BG1. Is there any way to keep some of your equipment? And will the characters you have at the end transfer to BG2 or only special ones like Edwin and Shar Teel, for example?

One question @installation and two important questions @ gameplay

Hi everyone,
i managed to install a nice combination of mods (mostly the "tactics" compilation, but not all) with the install program.
My problem with the Installation Program now is, that the NPC Portraits Mod is actually v1.7 but the Installer still looks for 1.6 - which he doesnīt find.
Since this was my second attempt of installation i wanted to make sure and left the mod from the list and all worked fine. But now i wonder if i can install the mod afterwards (in the readme it says it has to be installed before the "general biffing" part, which the installer already did). So can i harm my installation if i install the mod now, or is it only that i wouldnīt see all pics of it?
Would be nice if anyone could answer, since their forums are a bit dead it seems.
Ah yes, and this post is also to inform you of the actual version, so maybe it can be corrected in a future update of the installer smile.gif
Gameplay Problems:
Since iīm playing the game now for some time i had two gameplay problems.. i canīt do dual class characters at advancement. Also when i advance a character to the next level i canīt raise the weapon proficiencies any further than they already are.. this makes the game somewhat complicated
Maybe someone can help me with this questions.. what i nearly forgot, is there anything like a manual (for example like the Big World v7 pdf) where you can read about all the modifications and their impact on the game?
Many questions, i hope someone can help
