Thank you very much for the advice, alas the restriction, why i canīt raise weapon skills, which have already points in it, is still strange for me. I canīt even raise the bow skill for my ranger - non dual char (not to speak from my Blade Main Char).

There is a limit... as everyone else can only put 2 points to a weapon skill, fighters can put 5...

Thought so, but i canīt even raise my Skills above one point.... (and no, not only for mages etc.)

And yes iīm at the right level, the chars get the points after all, but i canīt distribute them at skills, which already have one point.

Well, you need to have be at level 2, have the stat requirements, be human and be Fighter, Ranger, Cleric, Mage, Thief or some of their Kit to be able to dual. And the weapon thing, you have to know a bit about the dualing process, like that when you dual a ranger to a cleric, the end result will only be able to use cleric weapons, so if you raised the Two Handed Sword skill as a ranger, you'll just waste them all if you dual to a cleric, unless you have a mod that removes that restriction. And if you raise a weapon skill before the dual and after it so you put points to it in both classes, only the higher willcount in the end when you regain the original classes abilities.

Alright... seems i have forgotten that BG1 was so restrictive for Dual Classing.. my fault   :whistling:

Thanks for the answer! Think i will try it later..

Has maybe anyone answers about my problems during level advancing?

I tested it and canīt even start a dual class at the beginning..
Also the fact that the Weapon Skills are not raiseable is beyond my understanding.. i only can raise skills which have no points .. even for NPCs :(

In Topic: little Problem with the NPC Portraits Mod during BP Installation

23 July 2009 - 12:01 AM

Hi everyone, I managed yesterday to install a nice combination of mods with the install program. My problem now is, the NPC Portraits Mod is actually v1.7 but the Installer still looks for 1.6 - which he doesnīt find.
Since this was my second attempt of installation i wanted to make sure and left the mod from the list and all worked fine. But now i wonder if i can install the mod afterwards (in the readme it says it has to be installed before the "general biffing" part, which the installer already did). So can i harm my installation if i install the mod now, or is it only that i wouldnīt see all pics of it?

And to the problem, I would say that you can't install the mod afterwards cause the game information is already stored into the biff file. Now, you will need to wait for the BW to be updated... which can happen at any moment... reasoning:
Now when you are talking about the 'Installer', you are talking about the BWS(short for BiG World Setup), which updates every now-and-then, so you just have to keep waiting the last update for it... or go manually through it with dabus, which is were the bad forum choice comes to... as he doesn't regularly look here. <_<

Ok, thank you very much for the infos! And sorry for the wrong forum..
