This will make the game unfinishable.

so do not install use standard Ascension
and install BG2 Fixpack as the first mod.

Storywise, simply imagine that you do it after killing Sarevok...



I actually do do that, using BGT! It's the only time to do it that really makes sense to me.

I actually don't have Hubelpot installed, but I had the same problem in my last playthrough-- I reverted to an earlier save and killed the parasites in a different order, which triggered the battle. I started with the one near the top and worked my way left and down, so that you pass Irenicus on your way to the third parasite (the one in the bottom right).

Try that if you read this, and tell me what happens...!
