well I was in chapter 6 and wanted to do some of the first levels of watcher's keep. But the map will only show ToB parts after I enter the area.

I need your BALDUR.GAM file from the saved game before Jaheira came back from her hiatus.

Re: Thieving skills. The changes are applied globally, so you have to install the relevant component from BGTTweaks to revert the global values back to the original BG2 values.

ah there is no save game from before jaheira came back from her hiatus unfortunatly. Nevertheless it matters little. I just dropped her way earlier, so the quest chain didn't fire.

well the thieving skills gave full xp in baldur's gate 1, yet they give no xp in baldur's gate 2

I used the august 1st install first in BG1, then I uninstalled BGT and reinstalled BGT with 5th august version. Another weird thing that happened was that my bag of holding disappeared in the BG1 part, when I reinstalled with the August 5th save. Oh yeah and experience for thieving skills + scrolls seems to be very low.
