Any way to make the invisible item (which is presumably what's giving him the Silence effect) in his helmet slot into an off-hand weapon item? I tried to give him an Ioun Stone before I'd done his quest but couldn't, then I could afterwards. Monks can't ever have anything in their off-hand, so it'd be less noticeable if it were in that slot instead of the helmet slot.

The reason that they can never hold anything in their off-hand is that their fists are two-handed weapons.

If anyone can suggest an alternative to an invisible helmet which avoids this problem, I should be delighted to hear it.

Couldn't you just add the silence as an innate ability? I mean, open up shadow editor and look at the characters. Under the affects tab it's possible to give perm immunity to time stop, can't see why you wouldn't be able to add perm silence.

note: I'm only assuming this 'helm' is some sort of silence-cursed item.

What I have decided to do is put the attributes of the "helm" onto his robe. Since the unmovable nature of the robe is already mentioned in the description, and it is the only armour usable by monks, this should solve the problem without restricting the helmet slot :).

So he won't let anyone look under his robe?

Yes, that's right.

I mean, NO! Well. Who would be trying to get inside Yikari's robe anyway ;)?

Yes. Jumping away or dodging would have more comedy value than a wrist lock, but that may just be personal taste. ;)
