Could someone make a tutorial on simple item creation? One that doesn't involve image changing or complicated items and doesn't require advanced tools from teambg (for obvious reasons). Just a tutorial for creating simple items. Because in NI when I try to change an item it will make me change all similar items in the game!

*Shudder* NI is not the tool to be using here.

Get DLTCEP. There should be tutorials (also for setup) there, at the Pocket Plane Group, or from DLTC.

I prefer NI over DLTCEP because I find it easier to use and have yet to find something I can not accomplish (in terms of editing items and spells) with it.

Perhaps you could try explaining why you prefer DLTCEP, lest this result in another pointless 'which tools' thread.

Why is this Hypnotoad video so popu... ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD.

 You use whatever tool you feel more comfortable with. I only use NI for finding references, since DLTCEP has tabs and boxes etc.

If you want to tell Jerdol how to make an item with NI, go ahead, because I can't.

Jerdol, you simply need to use EXPORT option with NI and give your file a unique name subsequently, to avoid changing ALL items of the type.

And, lol, I am another one of them, dullards who downloaded DLTCEP, tryed to open it... and sort of left it at that. But than again, if I could I'd do all my item editing by COPY_EXISTING  :D

In NI, the best idea is to find an item close to what you wist to make. Right-click, select 'add copy of...' and create a new item which you can edit to your heart's desire. If you want to add new abilities or effects, it's often faster to find another item that has the same ones and simply copy-and-paste them to your item. Delete any effects you don't want. Use IESDP to figure out stuff you may be confused about. :)

As for adding a name and description, you'll need to deal with that using a distribution tool such as WeiDU.

Did my first (very, very simple) item with NI in the mean time... ^_^
Thanks for your explanations anyway :)
