And hey - I thought my Benedict vs any other sword wielder argument was very well made.

Nah, that particular vs only appears on the last page.
So I noticed seconds after hitting reply. Such is the way of things...

I'll try to blame it on my lack of sleep, but pray tell what are you referring to? Perhaps (assuming) your username regarding that topic might be of assistance?

Given that the battle lasts until one of the two dies the "final death", it is inevitable that the Nameless One will ultimately come out the victor.

Realistically though, given the tone of PST, and the pleasant avenue of feasible diplomacy in FO2, I'd be willing to bet on the probability of the NO and CO sorting out their (apparent) differences over a <insert appropriate beverages> etc rather than resorting to violence.

Oh yeah! How could I have forgotten the Alien Blaster? As outlined in the link, realistically the CO would have access to weaponry and technology that could completely obliterate the NO's physical form. How to resurrect nothingness?
Oh well, my vote still goes to the Nameless One though, because his regenerating capability gives him more HPs to play with.
Fast Regeneration + Balance in All Things/Pain Mirror/Sadist Frame = Dead Chosen One regardless of equipment
Not even Power Armor would help against this strategy.
Also since all of the weapons that the Chosen One can use to destroy the Nameless One's body are ranged weapons. Power Word Blind will definitely shift things in the Nameless One's favor

Vash: "Normally when you buy an old, used bike, you're supposed to repair it before riding it!"
Wolfwood: "Are you dissing my beautiful shiny Angelina II?!?"
Vash: "I'm dissing YOU, not your stupid broken bike!"
It's all happening here

Chosen One has stuff to kill people he ain't even met. even all stats of 25 would not save the NO from some good hails of vindicator minigun, for example.I would say Nameless One all the way, none of the weapons available to Chosen One could match his regeneration. (It also depends where their fighting)

Or the battls would last forever (unlikely, but not impossible)Well the Nameless One is a self resurrecting immortal, then Chosen One only has one life (unless the player reloads a previous save).
Given that the battle lasts until one of the two dies the "final death", it is inevitable that the Nameless One will ultimately come out the victor.

As I said before, "Balance-In-All-Things" would ensure the Chosen One's death since the Chosen One is hurt for the same damage with which s/he hits the Nameless One.Chosen One has stuff to kill people he ain't even met. even all stats of 25 would not save the NO from some good hails of vindicator minigun, for example.I would say Nameless One all the way, none of the weapons available to Chosen One could match his regeneration. (It also depends where their fighting)
Besides, Ragnar's right about the location of battle. If they are fighting on a demi-plane or the negative material plane where they are the only ones alive, the very nature of the Nameless One's immortality would upon his 'death' snuff the life out of the Chosen One to restore himself.
