One extra spell per level is entirely possible. In fact, I have a bard kit in a released mod which has this very thing. See here for a download link.

Not if you want Immy to be able to REMOVE traps. As a Bard she wouldn't be able to do that and it doesn't say that she can in the kit's advantages.

As long as it's made, I think the more "Rockin'" portion of this modding community will be satisfied. You know this reminds me of another guitarist I had once wished an NPC would be made from...

I was thinking...
For the kit, they could use NO weapons. Not one. They have to rely on their "Guitar Riff" and they're special guitar items. They would do all sorts of fun stuff. Being able to use no weapons could be justified by the fact most of them are overly pampered and don't know how to do much...except of David Lee Roth and Ted Nugent, of course.

I've been told Pete Townsend could wield a mean improvised club stickly similar ot a guitar.
If we're goign to eliminate all wepaons save these new guitars, they at least need more abilities.

I am working on it right now. The Rock Stars can use 1 weapon very well...

The guitars will be nice, though any bard can use them unfortuantly.

Give the Rock Star Bonuses with guitars. Another idea: for the specialised guitarist, off hand tools for changing your sound, eg Jimmy Pages violin bow, or Eddy Van Halne's drill (not sure he actualy uses it to play it nonetheless)

If you want it take it and sorry for not being around for so long vacation. I think a lot of scripting is going into this if you think about what you are doing. and how about some rock star specific armor.

Heh, great mod idea. I agree with the idea about them not being able to use any weapons, but having lots of guitar special abilities to compensate for it.. a small question though - is this just going to be a kit with custom items, or will there still be a joinable NPC?

Joinable NPC. and like i said earlier there should be guitar weapons for Hendrix only. And to make a electric guitar with no electricity feasable ing BG2 we will have it that the guitar has built in amps and is powered do to a direct link to the elemental plain of electricity in side the guitar if there such a thing as the elemental plane of electricity.

Or it could simply be the enchanted guitar of distortion and the amps of loudnes

Along these same lines ... how about a James Brown NPC with a cloak +1 Constitution, and a version of an aid spell that triggers whenever he sings, "Get up offa that thang!" Or a doom spell that triggers when he sings, "Can't stand myself!"

Kinda makes him sound more like a cleric than a bard, though, doesn't it?

Actually they're two different Planes. The Quasielemental Plane of Lightning connects the Plane of Air and the Positive Energy Plane.
