Theo, your first offering brought a tear to my eye... You should have included a 'tissue needed' disclaimer, my friend.. ;) Your great handling of a non-romanced Jaheira will generate guilt in all players who choose to romance Aerie or Viconia over her now! :P :P For shame! :P

I am really looking forward to reading your collection here. But you already know how much I enjoy these 'insights' that you so ably scribe for us.

In short, your devoted audience waits for more! :D

Thank you, MG! :)

I'm almost tempted to write more in this continuity and prove that Bioware's original epilogue (which I strongly detest) for non-romanced Jaheira does not have to come true. I can't imagine her moping and feeling sorry for herself for the rest of her life... not Jaheira. Maybe if inspiration comes or an appropriate quiz appears on the Attic... :D

Of course, I have some more of these short stories... and they will be added with time. Stay tuned, everyone. :)

That was a beautiful piece, Theo. Jahiera's emotions felt very real and understandable. I agree with MG that it will make others tear up too. I'll defintely keep an eye out for further updates. ;)

Thanks, Rusalka! Yes, Jaheira is very much still in grief at this point, but I tried to bring in those little hints that she is slowly healing, and what's more important - the realisation that she wants to heal. Maybe one day I will actually show how it happens... I would be interested to explore all aspects of her relationship with a "normal" person, one that is not a child of a god. :)

This first offering is very touching and the hint of hope is so relieving! I would love to see a story about this Jaheira.

You show great concern, consideration and caring for the characters you write about -- one thing I especially like in your stories. :)

Like the title of your short story thread. :D

Thank you! Though, I won't promise that you will see anything from this continuity soon... right now, I don't have any ideas with what to continue. But sometimes they do spring up out of nowhere! :)

Thanks again, Bey! Of course, I have written more light-hearted stories, where some characters have not been treated with great care... but I like my serious pieces much better, too. :)

Like the title of your short story thread. :D

:D Guess I was in a chaotic mood...

Thanks for reading, Bey! :)

Now finally caught up with the other offerings as well.

Pandora's Aquarium is certainly full of exotic little fishes. ;)

I remember the soap piece. Very funny!

Doppelganger Jaheira was a new one for me. I had the right suspicion, by the way. Doppelgangers are a nasty class of monsters. Their potential for stories on the other hand is almost without limits.... *starts thinking*

A question for clarification.... The Doppelganger obviously was with the group longer than only two hours, but when they found Jaheira she was dead for only two hours. So I assumed they killed her later. Don't Doppelgangers kill their victims immediatlely?

Hi, Bey! Nice to hear from you again! :)

Pandora's Aquarium is certainly full of exotic little fishes.  ;)

Hence the title. ;) I looked over my written one-off stories and thought... what a mess! :D

Glad you think so! Most would react like this - or this - :o or this -

Maybe. Here I meant that she was unconscious for the whole time and the doppelgangers just did not notice that she's still alive. Cheesy way out, but there are some characters I just can't kill off. Of course, it could be argued if reviving her was a good idea, since the rest of the group are poisoned and there is no cure.

But as I said, it was meant to be a disturbing tale and it's certainly very far from my usual style of writing. Guess you can call it an experiment. :)

Thanks for replyispellholdstudios.netng, Bey! :)

Reminds me of a place I know.... used to be my apartment. Now I call it my pit. ;)

Ah yes... unconcious.... yes, that's a good way out.

The poison!!! I completely forgot that part about BG1! The Doppelganger killed the only person who can lead you to the Antidote.... :o

It makes that little experiment even scarier!

Yep, now you get the full picture - the *real* Jaheira is the only one unaffected by the poison... which means that she'll have to tear down the Iron Throne and beat the crap out of Sarevok, all on her own. And I would never bet against a vengeful Jaheira. ;)

Now I'm getting awkward images of Jae playing bowling with Sarevok's head and using the heads of his underlings as the pins. Err...

We wouldn't want to have to bring Theo before Judge Theo on a breach of contract tort. :P :P

You're, er, summarily 'stuck', Theo.. B) B) And, I sort of like the goodie idea of "Bowling, Jaheira-style"... LOL LOL

Just love, love, love your 'original' stuff, Theo, as you very well know. :D

It's certainly an appealing image. Especially if we could have Ployer's, Irenicus' and Bodhi's heads as the bowling pins as well... :o

Thanks! Don't expect anything original soon, though... UU's quiz idea is just marvelous, but it's not exactly *my* topic. Besides, the workload is increasing again...

Hi, Theo! :D

Just a note to tell you I like your latest addition to the 'fishtank'. A terrific rendition of VMan and the ingame situation with Viconia. A good read, as always.. :D

Er... more "RUSH" coming up soon?? :D Yep, we all know how work loads and other obligations can interfere with our fun and games. ;) ;)

Yes, more "Rush" coming up over the weekend, promise. I wanted to get all my one-shots up on this site, first. :D "Rush" will follow... ;)

All of your one shots already? Too bad! It's a treat to have them all in one place.

Hm... I know a pearl that would fit nicely in here. I do know it's part of Rush but since you so stubbornly refuse to expand on it, I label it as one shot :P ;)

Well... these are the few that have been already posted. I currently have one in my head, (but have no time to put in on the "paper") and another three-parter written, but it needs to be reworked. Why does a day only have 24 hours? :(

Hmmph. Nay, it doesn't quite work as a stand-alone. Maybe it will be posted on this site one day, but only as a part of Rush. Anyways, all other stand-alone pieces from Attic will go directly here as well... the one in my head is a backstory of "Rush". I really need one less stressful day to sit down and write it. Bah.
