Starting a faq must have's:

*where do you find khadion?
*who is khadion? race/alignment/stats/class etc?
*whats his personality going to be?
*will there be a romance?
*does he have a specific quest?
*will he interact with other npcs?
*is it only for soa or soa/tob?
*its a weidu mod, right?

i cant think of anything else, but i think that should do in early stages of development

Starting a faq must have's:

*where do you find khadion?

He'll be in the Docks district of Athkatla. He will talk to you immediatly as you enter the area.

*who is khadion? race/alignment/stats/class etc?

All is to be found in the "Introducing Khadion"-topic. This will be included in the FAQ that will come with the mod.

*whats his personality going to be?

He's a very charming, though extremely erratic young man. He's got a lot of self-comfindence, which isn't always good for him. He has difficulties with focusing on things except for short periods of time. He's hot-tempered, and that combined with the confidence he has in his own abilities will drag him into occasionally fights. He's also a spoiled brat, his step-father is, after all, Aran Linvail himself. The other partymembers will also rimind him of this.

*will there be a romance?

No, there will not be a romance. He's much to unstable to have a serious relationship. Besides, I think that there already are enough romances out there. He will, though, attempt to make a move on a female PC, as well as other female NPC's.

*does he have a specific quest?

He indeed does. His quest will be a large part of the immense character development I have in store for him.

*will he interact with other npcs?

Definently. He will have a lot of banters with other NPC's, as well as loads of interjections, especially with people in Athkatla. He's well-known in the city, and to not interject with people when he's such a celebrity would be very strange.

*is it only for soa or soa/tob?

Both. He will have interjections, banters and a specific quest in both SoA and ToB.

*its a weidu mod, right?

Would I do it any other way?

I cant think of anything else, but i think that should do in early stages of development

The mod will still be allowed for younger people to play, i.e. there won't be any "dirty" conversations. There will be hints, however, that something might have happened (after a rest, for example).

I know... And there'll be no nudity, either.

But, I was actually thinking of a nude paperdoll for the pocket plane-spawn in ToB. I retired that idea, though.

I'm sure (well think actually) you posted somewhere that Khadion is based on a character called Silk from David Eddings books if so,

Will Khadion act to a similar way to what Silk does? (If so I can just imagine some of the things he'll be saying )

Not based, but influented. The acrobatic fighting-style/charm/humour is similarities. But there are quite large diffrences:

Silk is a lot older, he's not as attractive and not as erratic. Even if he says in one of the books (think it's Castle of Wizardry or Enchanters' End Game) that he gets sidetracked too easily, it's still nothing compared to Khadion. Silk's a lot wiser than Khadion is. About the same intelligence. So there are similarities, but also diffrences.

You won't recognize Silk (i.e."that would be the exact thing as Silk would have said!") when you play Khadion. That, I promise.

That's ok then. ( I just wondered as I just read through one of the books and when I saw Silk's real name I thought it was the same as Khadion until I checked, which got me wondering)

I actually hadn't thought about that. Silk's real name's Kheldar.

Come to think of it, there are a lot of Kh* in those books. Damn!

2) Will his scimitar be upgradable?

3) Will he have any banters with other NPC mods? (ie Kelsey,Taisha,Chole,ect)

4)Will Khadion start with any unique equipment apart from his scimitar?

5)Will he get any more unique equipment given to him, or from his quests?

1) What stats will Khadion's scimitar have?

Not fully decided yet. His scimitar will be an ordinary scimitar (no magical enchantments) with the exception of being extremely light and well-balanced. The abilities that makes the diffrences between this scimitar and other scimitars is the way Khadion handles it. So it's not special in itself, only in Khadion's hands. The light blade will, in Khadion's hands be a better weapon than other scimitars. Here are some things I'll include:

A bonus to AC, reflecting Khadions ability to parry attacks from other melee weapons, as well as arrows and such, due to his extreme reactions.

A little addition to attacks per round, because of Khadion's speed with the blade.

A little higher THAC0 than other scimitars, also due to Khadion's speed. He should be able to strike before the opponent have a chance of reacting.

The damage modifier won't be as high as the THAC0. He won't deal exceptional damage.

The blade will only be usable by Khadion. I'm considering an undroppable-flag on it as well, in his off-hand. That, I want feedback on. What do you all think?

2) Will his scimitar be upgradable?

Both yes and no. The weapon itself won't become better, but Khadion's skill with it will. So, as Khadion advances in level, his ability to handle the sword will improve, with is reflected in the stats I already mentioned.

3) Will he have any banters with other NPC mods? (ie Kelsey,Taisha,Chole,ect)

Undecided. I want to have such banters, but firstly I have to contact the autors of the other mods to make sure that it's okay with them. I haven't done that yet, there's no need for that at the moment. But when I do, the ball will be in their park.

I can, however, say that banters with Chloe won't be very likely. I will probably have an incompatibility-sign on Chloe, meaning that you can't play them both. Adding banters to an NPC whom you can't have at the same time is just stupid.

4)Will Khadion start with any unique equipment apart from his scimitar?

No unique equipment. Magical, yes. A shadow armor, for example. He is the stepson to the leader of the Shadow Thieves, after all. It's only logical that he won't walk arouspellholdstudios.netnd in a leather armor.

5)Will he get any more unique equipment given to him, or from his quests?

Yes. Both to him and through his quests. What it is, though, I won't tell you.

They won't be cheesy. I've got a lot of persons around me to correct it if that would be the case.

And no, no short swords. I'd rather use katanas, in that case.

Yes I preferably use scimitars for Khadion. But rather katanas than short swords.
