That's a marilith, a sort of demon.I don't know if you guys have seen the pic at wizards.com, but there is this really cool pic of Helm doing battle with what looks to be a Naga queen from Heroes of Might Magic III. Half woman, half serpent with multiple arms. Lower half is serpent and upper half is a female with multiple arms. Anyway it's awesome. I still have the link if anyone is interested. Bah, probably not. I think I'm the only Helm fan here.

Every god from Faerun serves Ao I think (he created them after all...)The elven gods were also affected by Time of Troubles ? I see no one mentions them. Or they are not under the leadership of Ao ?
Here are the deity locations during ToT:

Letting you know you're the next one dead
I am the blade that cuts your skin
That forgives yourself for all your sin
I am the guilt that gnaws your soul
Corrodes the heart to a gaping hole
The hammers pounding all around
So you beat the walls to rid the sound
I am your memories, distorted and loud
That make you scream and shreik aloud
Yes, I make you crazy, it's all my fault

Red Knight: The Red Knight appeared in northeastern Tethyr, where he helped that nation defeat monsters raiding from the Wealdath.

Powers & Pantheons, Faiths & Pantheons, etc all say she's a woman. F&P even has a picture of her.

I see no way to rate this thread. I find this thread to be very good and I think it should be changed to a sticky. The questions that continue to get posted here are in copius supply and I should like to always be able to come back to read it through and through.

hmm...only if we assume Ao would have some interest on Sigil. He is a overgod and I don't think he needs portals to travel across planes. However the ruleship over the Cage opens infinite options...I bet there is some rivalry between Ao and The Lady of Pain

If its in his crystal sphere then I guess he would, but it's not (I think) he is only interested in maintaining balance (how his will formed from Chaos is beyond me).

Fair enough then, is she a butch looking of a woman?

She is rumored to have spent the whole Time of Troubles dueling with Beshaba, literally. Is there any mention of Tymora and what happened to her through the series?

Funny I dont remember this hapening, she did destroy a "house" with psi-talent that wanted to remove Lolths worship;) . Btw is the "War of Spider Queen" an affter effect of ToT.Lolth: The Spider Queen appeared in her great city of Menzoberranzan, home of the outcast Drizzt Do'Urden, where she allegedly slew a minor drow deity of assassination and usurped her portfolio.
So this is the second time Goddes of Magic died(first time in Netheril saga second book when she destroyed herself causing magic to colapse and the fall of Netheril empire)? The mortality rate of gods in Faerun is high.exactly
some lines later:
---------------
For an instant, the goddess caught a glimpse of the beauty and perfection of her home in Nirvana.
All this was mine, Mystra thought. She reached the summit, her legs trembling beneath her. Then the Goddess of Magic grabbed for the gate, and a hand grasped her arm, spinning her around. There was a look of sadness in Helm's eyes.
"Farewell, goddess," Helm said.
Then he drove his hand through her chest.
LoLHmm, I was always of the impression that the Lady of Pain was just a bunch of squirrels in a suit or something.

And once we're at Mystra not making any sense... she's NG. So why does she allow evil mages to work freely?

Not to mention that Ao would be supremely p***ed off if she stopped granting spells to people simply because of their alignment.

She is not fighting Helm because the Guardian god killed the previous godess of magic not her and after all - Helm just did his work. You know... it just doesn't make sense that Mystra isn't waging an all-out war against Helm, then, in revenge. I mean, she controls magic, surely her worshippers could rain some serious shit on the ShieldDudes' heads!
Midnight chosed the name 'Mystra' to prevent chaos betwen her faithful followers.
Previous Mystra was LN if I remember correctly

Other divine relationships include the previously mentioned Kelemvor and Mystra relationship (the pair are very slowly growing close again), Tymora and Brandobaris, an on-again-off-again romance between Chauntea and Lathander, and Shar's attempts to seduce both Hoar and Shevarash.

Torm has recently attempted to befriend the Red Knight, and there may be a romance blooming between the two.
Player
The problem with FR gods is that are too mortal in the way they act and so forth that's what I find weird
and Shar's attempts to seduce both Hoar and Shevarash.
Have you got any info. on those two?
The mortality rate of gods in Faerun is high.
Indeed, but most don't truly die but get reborn, such as Mystra, Bane, got very close for Bhaal, Torm...etc
