Does'nt Scar's story tie in with PnP. I'm sure I read somewhere that he was dead.

And of course if Scar gets a mention then so should Duke Eltan (who I believe is still leader of the Flaming Fists).

Or is it Scar that's alive and Eltan is dead (I have'nt played BG1 for yonks)..

Going through those same books as well as SwordCoastKeeper gave me the following extra names:

Baldur's Gate:

Halbrazzer Drin (Owner and Proprietor of Sorcerous Sundries)

Ithtyl Calantrin (One of the serving wenches of the Three Old Kegs)

Ragefast (Not sure if he's in there, but he's mentioned when you enter the Friendly Arms Inn for the first time)

Ramazith Flamesinger (Wants you to get the Nymph)

Thalantyr the Conjurer (High Hedge)

The following always struck me as funny (Taken from Dreams of the Red Wizards):

Homen Odesseiron (That's right he's related to...EDWIN! )

And I'm sure I'll find others once I start playing the damn game again...

Thanks for the additions :). I already add Thalantry though ;).

BTW Ajantis' family (a bunch of Waterdeep nobles) also crop up in various books.

Yah, I know. I played Baldur's Gate before I acquired the books, so as I was roosing over them, I was rather surprised to see some of the names correspond to those in the books.

I believe even Viconia's family is mentioned in some of the underdark books too.

Heh heh, Edwin never told me that... though the name should have been Homer!

I believe that in the Legacy tetralogy they get a more proper outlook, whilst in the original Dark Elf trilogy they have only a cameo, being mentioned alongside the fall of the Do'Urdenn family.

Shangalar the Black and Shyressa (Runemasters of the Twisted Rune)

Might I ask if Rejiek Hidesman/Vellin Dahn (BG2 villains) are affiliated to the same Twisted Rune?

I haven't found either of the names in any official books, so my guess'd be they were invented by the developers...

Heh, if you are careful, you can hear the other drow taunting the drow prisoners for belonging to a destroyed house - house De'Vir, of course :-)

Anyone know if there is mention of Cromwell in any PNP source book? Any details about him, clan, history etc?

Or is he pure fantasy?
A knight without armour in a savage land...

They are. I believe Drizzt's family took them out.
Steel is my body, fire is my blood.
I've created over a thousand blades
Unknown to death.
Nor known to life.
Have withstood pain to create many weapons.
Yet, those hands will never hold anything.
So as i pray, "Unlimited Blade Works."--Archer from Fate/Stay Night

Pen and Paper. It's a term used to describe the classic dice rolling Dungeons and Dragons.

Cool Blood Elf avatar, by the way. :)

Where is Ellesime mentioned in p'n'p? I was interested in this and I looked for her everywhere and I didn't see her anywhere.

@ Mods: I know it's necroposting, but I saw no reason for making a new thread serving the same purpose...

I don't believe she is, at least not prior to her introduction in BG2.
