:) Looking like a very fun piece that is well put together and leaves me wanting more. I have no idea of the origin of the name? I hope you have a back log of chapters so you can update frequently. :D

Okay, Kaos... You've managed to tantalize all of us, so don't keep us waiting too long.. ;) ;)

A very good story you have going here. I look forward to seeing more of it. :D

Kaos here...
Thanks guys. I would have replied sooner, but Finals Week is always nasty :( . As for where the name of the story came from, it's sort of this character's adventures after ToB. I think I have Chapter 2 somewhere around here....

And, you'd better have a Chapter 3, etc., if you know what's good for you.. :P :P

This is simply terrific, Kaos! A great read that I would recommend to everyone craving a good, solid adventure story! But be ready to be 'hooked'... :D

*tips hat* As I said, don't keep us in suspense! :P

Heh, this is pretty good stuff. And, it has Jaheira in it, so it's another great incentive to continue reading! :)

I don't quite peg her for the type who would go for something like a one night stand, but hey, that's not a rule and sometimes exceptions happen... anyways, it ought to be interesting to see how that little bit of past she shares with Telos comes into the play. ;)

Certainly, no love lost between her and Sarevok, that's for sure... I'm greatly enjoying two such strong personalities clashing and bickering, it's great fun. Sarevok is also one of my favorites, after all. Though, I have to groan, hearing that he still uses that ridiculous cover name of Koveras (Cover A**? )... surely, Terminsel was bad enough, but this is just... *groan*

Anyways, good stuff. :)

Hey guys!
Thanks again for reading! It might be a little while before the next chapter is up. Editing not withstanding. I'll do my best to get it written up. And Theodur, I didn't really see it as a one night stand so much as "it go weird." When I played thru BG2 romance with Jaheira, the "Next Morning" LD seemed like she kind of regretts sleeping with <Charname> though from the following dialogues it' s clear that she loves him. If I remember right, that specific LD ended with Jaheira saying something like "Pipe down and lets go." Sounds surly to me. Maybe I just picked the wrong thing to say to her ;)

Nah, it goes along like this:

PC: Are you ready for travel? I don't think you slept much.

Jaheira: Neither did you, so pipe down. Let's get going.

So it's really not surly at all, it's more like a gentle teasing on both sides. With the lack of sleep indicating that the night probably was very good. :)

Kaos. Thank you.

Life after ToB is so very interesting and an especially delightful read in this case.

It took me a second to grasp, who the ?sword swinging birds? nest? was? erm? my first thought was Haer?Dalis. His dedication to label every one seems to have had more impact on me than I would have liked. ;)

I?m happy to see Balthazar. I managed only once to win him as an ally, but then couldn?t do the last trial. So I had to reload and kill him eventually, very much to my regret. :(

The party that formed around Telos is very interesting, indeed. Characterizations beautifully done. I especially liked the idea of ?markings?.

Anyway, I?m tracking the topic now, and hope for many notifications. :)

A very nice chapter and I hope you are not going to wait too long for chapter four. I liked very much the shifting of action throughout the chapter. Liked the mark of the bhaalspawn sequence and I liked how you ended your chapter although I will now have to add the classic and desired more please comment. :)

Hey Everybody,
I'm glad you guys like what I've been writing so far (though I retrospect, I don't think I've been very true to character of Jaheira, something I will attempt to redress in the coming chapters).
I'm really glad you guys like my "birthmarks" idea. It was something I thought up a long time ago, and I thought I'd insert it into the story.
I am very sorry that it has been a while since I put up a chapter, but I got a hold of Planescape: Torment, and that (+work) took up most of my time the past several weeks. I'm currently working on Chapter 4, and maybe I can have it ready to post by next week. We'll see if I can hold up to that statement though (I have beaten Torment, so I really don't have an excuse not to have it done).
Why am I still writing? I have a chapter to create!

Sorry chapter 4 took so long to get put up. I hope you guys and gals can put up with a fight scene chapter. I'm not very good at those, but I gave it my best. :thumb:

Oh my...

Cliffhanger of the meanest...

That was a scary scene. I guess it's safe to presume that the main character isn't going to die before he knows what happened to his son, but that doesn't look good.

I know it's presumed the party is godlike powerful once ToB ends, but I like the thought that they are still mortal and that it takes only the right number or kind of enemy to defeat them. They would look quite old without the unexpected help.

Don't let us wait too long for an update, will you? I like the further adventures. :)

Well Beyshaliban, you got your wish! ;) Chapter 5 should be up in mere minutes.
Please note that it might be a long while between this and chapter 6. School's in full effect and midterms are looming large. :(

HEY! I'm alive!!! :thumb:
Short excuse for anyone out there who still cares, but I obviously got behind in writing (the tail end of a college semester will do that to you :whistling: ). BUT now I have gotten Chapter 6 up and ready, and I am working on Chapter 7 this very moment (hopefully out in another week or two, knock on wood).
Enjoy!

Its so entertaining, I couldn't stop after reading the first few chapters and finished the whole in an hour odd. The dreams Telos had of Viconia are kinda scary and dark. Do they represent the tragic death of Viconia or because Lloth was in control?

Hey, I'm back!
Thanks for the comments Celestine :thumb:! It's good to see that someone other than me is enjoying reading this! As for the dream sequences, the later one (Chapter 5, I think) is all Lolth. She's eeeevil, you know! The earlier dream (Chapter 3) is all Telos. Make of that what you will.

Okay, so I know I said I'd like to have had the next chapter up back in January, but hey, you can't rush genious! In all seriousness, I've let myself fall behind in the writing , and desparately trying to use free time in between school time to write, but it doesn't always happen. I'm weak and computer games are strong, what can I say?

On the upside, I'm posting the next chapter after posting this. Sooooo, on with the show!

Faraday is a scientist... physicist... I can't quite remember what he discovered exactly, but his name is the unity of ... hell what's that word in english... aimant? you know, those things that stick with metal... And I also think there is a constant in physics that bears his name. There is also the "Faraday cage" (free translation) which exploits the fact that electromagnetic fields and waves don't go through a metal cage.

Well, I'm not even sure I get fifty free points for my hints where the names come from :P
"I set on this journey trying to understand why has metal been stereotyped, dismissed, and condemned. My answer is this: if, listening to that music, you don't get that overwhelming rush of power that makes the hair stand at the back of your neck, you may never will. But you know what, it doesn't really matter. Because, judging from the 40 000 people around me, we're doing just fine without ya." :) Cheers! And two horns up for metalheads all around the world!

Got it!
Faraday was the one who discovered that, when a magnetic field wen through a ... coiled copper electric cable, there was an electric current created. Maxwell refined the equations (or vice versa)
And the farad is the unit used for describing a condensator.

Or so says my boyfriend, master student of physics :)
