Uhm...I have a feeling that it has a few of those "guess at what's right to do" things. For example I am in the hall with the mirrors whoich were repeatedly striken by lightening, but neither Static Charge, nor Call Lightening, no Lightening Bolt does naught to them.
Also - how do I enable cheats in IWD2? adding Debug Mode=1 to IWD2.ini was not successfull, and I really *want* Ctrl+Y

I think in IWDII the line is 'Enable Cheats' or something instead of 'Debug Mode'. It's a shame so much info was lost from the Interplay boards.

You need that lightning device to open the door to the frozen party and to another room I can't remember. You can fry some foes that way to, but basically that's all there is.

Thank you. I found the 'hint' one. It is not bad. I do not know how pwople managed to go through Fell Forest w/o looking up the solutions... Even my wilderness lore does not help that much.

Yeah, I found it nigh-impossible to get through Fell Wood without help. And if you still need help on the cheats, it's "Cheats=1" under "Program Options" (it may be under "Game Options", I dunno).

Well, I got through the fell wood, but checked walkthru so I didn't miss any items or something like that. Dropping items on the ground in the forest made it quite easy to try all combinations of the paths.

I dont mind puzzles, but i hate ones that are solvable only by trial and error. And i was playing on my laptop so my loading times r far too slow to do anything but use the walkthrough. (and come on! creatures that do level drain via arrows!!!)

I sort of understand that it is very 'realistic', but I really was too lazy and wanted to see what happened next in the story to do the rather boring trial and error. Plus, *after* you have wandered through it like a blind bat they tell you that now you can go kill Treants and you can go through it easily. :w00t:
