I wasnt sugguesting otherwise, it would be a tough job
but it doesnt have to be done all at once or by the same author/team, one at a time - a rush job would only result in flat npcs. It would be nice to eventually have all the npcs restored instead of the game forcing you to accept their fates, they were just examples of what could be done.
Safana could be a great start - one I would download, yoshi's great but I like female thiefs if only for the pleasing animations B) chaotic neutral/flirty char are other reasons, she was always my key thief in
bg1, often either didnt take imoen at all or dualed her to a mage as the only mage. I play
bg2 alot, I mean alot everytime I see a
bg1 npc meet their end in
bg2 it gets frustrating, as im sure many felt towards the npcs they lost in the transition, but many have been remade
in some form or another but not safana
Theres also alot of npcs in
bg2 I dislike /or dont find a use for:
Keldorn - imo wrong alignment/class anti-drow, trying to murder viconia
no matter how hard I try I cannot ever have him in my parties so that leaves what paladin? none
Mazzy too
Aerie has become repetive
Jan, yeah hes nice pickpocket entire shops etc but beyond that I never took him past
soa or even to hell/
TOB.
Valygar, I just find him dull - katana's I usually give to imoen
Anomen, always cleric'ed out often serves no purpose, dont dislike him tho
Minsc "again" says it all.
So any arguement that theres too many npcs in the game cant be true, many people have their favorites/dislikes all different - nice to have alot of choices
