Planer Sphere End Quest Problems

im doing the main quest of the planar sphere mod and have returned to the ps. when i go downstairs the screen starts black and then the sorcerer stands there surrounded by his globes doin nothing (all of em are in blue circles).
my game is severely modded, but i tried the savegame on a fresh unmodded install and its the same thing. anyone know a solution?

I don't know the solution, but I do know that Hlidskialf was working on it at one point. You might want to change the thread name to make it clear that you're having trouble with the Planar Sphere mod; he'd be more likely to see it then.

hm i could live with skipping the battle if
a) he doesnt drop significant loot
B) someone could point me to the dialogs used in the battle (i wanna know just what exactly is supposed to happen)

btw i cant change the topic title cuz im using a guest account

Judging from IE, he drops a powerful staff, and the Lady of Pain appears to give you a powerful sword. Use Infinity Explorer to look through items marked psq.

The final dialogs are meh; at one point I went through them by playing with globals, but I don't remember which.

well im no expert but im guessing something is wrong with the dialog psq41.D because it wont trigger (or maybe cutscene cutps8.bcs itself). the rest of the script is working as far as i can tell

before getting to the end quest....


how do you kill the @#@#$%@#$^ brooms?

yeah those brooms are a bit over the top. but there are many ways dealing with them (depending on how high level you are). i did it with wish: double timestop + improved alacrity, dragon breath, dragon breath, dragon breath... u get the idea

Been a while since I played, but I think one Horrid Wilting should kill all of them; looking in NI at PSQ155.CRE they only have 25 HP. You cold also magic missile them to death, or Wail of The Banshee. They're immune to almost everything else.

PSQ154.CRE is also a broom and has 1000 HP, but I think all but one of the ones you fight are PSQ155.CRE.

I had the same problem with the mighty more-than-god and his wreched globes I tried several times and couldnt get past that eventually I used the CLUAConsole to conjure up the lady of pain and you should see her! weird.

I also used the CLUA to force the sorcerer to join my party so that I could see what items he had this was a while back so I can't remebre now.

he had a regular quarterstaff which has the hidden attribute of making him invincible. if u equip it on your character he's immune to ctrl-y so talk about overpowered :). i think it was meant to be an undroppable item though but since this battle doesnt work i dont know for sure

Use NI and you can see the items you're meant to get at the end of the final fight;

1) Gloves of Spell Weaving: +1 spell per level from 1-9, faster casting, +1 Int, Wis
2) Staff of Sorcery +5: +4 AC and Saves, all sorts of immunities, kills weak extra planar creatures, casts fireballs, disintegrate, chain contingency.
3) Pain's Shard Long Sword +6: Very good long sword, defensive buffs and chance of imprisoning target (allows save), inflicts many other effects on target

Possibly one or two other items as well.

I've got these bugs about half-fixed. They are a royal pain to decipher.

Hey guys.Could someone tell me,which globals and to what value should I set to have the main quest finished and read those damn dialogs?Just wanted to know,what happens in the end.

Erk, guess I should have paid more attention to the threads *before* I finally managed to get through to the final encounter *whaps self* :)

I like this mod a lot, finaly a reason to want to get that Planar sphere apart from the once fortnightly potion set that I've never bothered picking up..I'll definitely keep it in any game I'm going to be playing with any sort of mage/mage combo .. Though even when hlidskialf gets the end bugs ironed out and it's fully functionable I don't think I'll be doing thr main quest of it more than this one time, I could possibly see this as a retirement (more likely all dead by the end :) )quest for a very very high level P&P party or maybe an entire CRPG plot.. it doesn't fit well from a RP play through the game.. still it's fun to do once for the challenge, even if some of it was just a bit to challenging.. taking on Goverment district with everyone at 25+ thaco was certainly um.. well was one of the few times I resorted to the Bhallspawn power of CTRL-R (the entire multiverse was at stake.. I had to :) .. prob didn't help that I'd taken it on with a lowish level party)

I'm off to try some global hunting :)

hi

is there a solution to the problem, the topic starter discribed, because i a have the same problem now. can i recrate the guy or rerun the cutscene somehow via cluaconsole?
because i really like to finish this quest, but i do not want to miss, this nice items.

HaHA! Fixed the fucker. *ahem* That is to say after an exhaustive and extensive search and tweak of code, this bug has been squashed. I also took the opportunity to update some of the other code. Get v1.7 at:
Mod Resurrections or
3DDownloads or (coming soon) TheWizard's Server.

BTW, I've also bugfixed and updated the Munchmod, and the Druidic Sorcerer Kit as well.

Fixed another bug that I'd somehow forgotten to include in this download. It's the "you can never actually trigger the end of the fight since he won't drop below 5hp bug." v1.8 about to make an appearance... <_<
